NEW YORK, NY January 13, 2011 – Viva Media has announced today that they inked the deal for North American retail and online distribution for the game, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout with Daedalic Entertainment. This witty and humorous adventure game hosts a cast of odd and offbeat characters that provide an endless streak of laugh-out-loud moments, and a brilliant soundtrack.
Viva Media’s CEO Carlo Voelker commented, “we are thrilled to bring Edna & Harvey: The Breakout to North American retail and to the digital world. The game is unique, fun, and totally puts the fun into dysfunctional.”
Daedalic Managing Director Carsten Fichtelmann added: “We are excited to see fan favorites Edna & Harvey finally make the jump to North America and digital download stores, as we continue our quest to spread their insanity to old-school adventure fans and other mentally unstable people across the globe.”
The game is slated to release February 8th, 2011.
About the Game
Meet Edna and Harvey, two of the most unruly patients to visit Dr. Marcel’s asylum in a long time. Edna is a young girl looking to recover her lost memory and escape from the clutches of the hospital and its staff. Harvey is Edna’s stuffed-pet rabbit. Together they’ll travel through the hallways and into the locked rooms of the asylum, looking for answers and a way out. They’ll meet strange people who’ll help them in their escape and offer comic relief when things seem to get a little too sane. And remember, you don’t have to be crazy to play this game. (But it helps.)
Happy Gaming Ana

I'm going to go broke if I keep this up. I have a pre-order in with Amazon for Edna and Harvey. Last night, I got an email from them saying that the release date had been moved back a month so that it should arrive mid-February.
Here's hoping I don't get another email in about 3 weeks. <g>
