Can someone help me with the dice game? No matter how I play it, I can't win. I need help.

What help would you prefer -- have you checked MaG's walkthrough:

Play the game similar to Black Jack or 21; except this has a maximum of 50.
You have 5 dice. You can play all 5 or less depending on strategy.
Click to select the die-dice you want in play. Then select roll or pass.
The clicked-selected dice are lighter than the ones that are not selected.
The higher count without going over 50 is the winner.

If you would prefer a saved game we'll have to wait for help -- I no longer have my saves for this game.

I played the Scorpio ritual and loved it but I am stuck already in the Tree of Life with the slider puzzle, the top of the bas relief. I have the walkthrough but because I have been trying on my own and you can't re-set it it is all over the place. Most of the time I find I am only one out of position but I have to move all the others to put that right and then it's another one or more out of place. Help me please, I need a game save please, somebody, please!

Well I am in shock, had another go and got it. What is it, you ask for help then you solve it? I was just going round and round and I just managed to get the last one in the right order then went back the other to put them in place.

Maybe you have a saved game prior to this puzzle (before you touched it). Then you can work on it.

My saved game hopefully works for you. It is on the way.
I think that the European version is not compatible with my saves. But let's try.

I can't seem to get past the problem at the water well pump - the walkthru shows only part of the system, and tells me about opening to the second clock on the right. Can you show me the other half of the solution, please?

Loving this game, and wondering about buying the previous (something about a ritual). There's no trial for it. Should I buy it outright?

Hi Janice,

Which walkthrough are you looking at? MaG's has a screenshot of the path to take:



If the flow of water is wrong, you will know from the camel trader and the antiquarian.

The valve is on position if it is aligned with the pipe and off position, if it is perpendicular to pipe.
Check that you haven't moved any other of the valves by accident, and that they all appear as per the screenshot.



Yes, The Scorpio Ritual is a fun game also. If you are enjoying Tree of Life you should like the first game just as much.

I'm back again, stuck this time with the camel, I got the milk went back to the camel owner got he whip now I can't seem to get the camel to move. I am placing the grounds with candy wrapper on the camel, it comes up sweet grounds + camel then goes back inther inventory. Once Sylvie went into her bag for a second like taking them out to offer the camel but only once and the camel moves her feet as if to move and nothing????
Anybody got any tips please?
Also I read somewhere about going back to the boarding house to boil the milk so I've done that too.

As per usual, I decided to go over it again while waiting for an answer and after chatting to the camel owner again it all started falling into place. I couldn't understand because I had the whip and I think he more or less told me to ure her over to the tree and climb up on her twice before it worked. I am now a camel handler and in posession of a fresh lemon.

Did you do this first:

Look close at lemon on tree. Use the whip. Still too high.
Talk to camel trader again. He advises to use the camel.

I am having a problem with this particular spot in the game as well, i.e. retrieving the lemon from the tree- I spoke to the trader and he said to use the whip, but no whip shows up in my inventory! I have tried talking to him again, but Sylvie simply says she can't talk now. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Do i need to pick the whip up from somewhere, because if so I can't find it and no matter what I do it does not show up in my inventory!

Hi Joyous,

Check THIS YouTube excerpt -- the part you need is at the very end. After the trader mentions the whip, he passes it across (invisibly!) to Sylvie, and it appears in inventory. Check that you're getting the same dialogue prior to this to trigger the handover of the whip.

Yes, this is the EXACT conversation I had with him, he mimed handing me the whip and everything, but still no whip in my inventory! Going to have to try and replay from an earlier game (something I was avoiding having to do!) and hope its a one-time glitch, if not I may need to get a save game from someone.

And you've scrolled all the way to both ends of the inventory bar? Yes, try a replay from a previous save and see if that fixes the problem. If not -- let us know.

Ok, so I had to go back and replay the game and the second time thru it finally showed up in my inventory! HOWEVER, now I am at the part in Gibraltar where Sylvie is supposed to get the parcel from the customs officer and now IT won't show up in my inventory. I have replayed from previous points numerous times with the same result, does anyone have a savegame at this point with the parcel IN their inventory?

Frustrated again...

Here's what zookeeper posted on an older thread:

"I had to click on my notebook and open the documents tab. The parcel was in there. I clicked on the parcel and that put it in the window on the screen as if it had been in the inventory. I clicked on the image of the parcel and the valve appeared in my inventory."

See if that works for you.

Thanks so much for the prompt reply! I did what the post instructed and managed to find it just as they had described...I never would have thought to look in "documents" for the parcel, poor logic on the game manufacturer's part if you ask me. Sooooo thankful I don't have to start over or wait for a savegame!

Ok, now I'm getting a little peeved at this game...what the heck am i doing wrong now? It won't let me put the map on the console- is there something in particular I have to do? Sylvie keeps saying "perhaps you have to put the coordinates from the conquistador's map in the console", but when I try to put the map from inventory on the console nothing happens!!I click and click and NOTHING! She won't talk to anyone about anything, I've tried to do what the walkthru says & still nothing...what the hay!?

Have a look HERE, double check that you're in the correct area and using the completed map.

I am in the correct area, but something is off with the game as Count Germain is not with me on the ship. I did indeed have all the conversations shown (although I had the one about the console before I filled the ship with air, perhaps thats the problem?) I do not remember Sarah saying I hope you reach your destination, she just says, if you want to talk, feel free. But if I try to talk to her Sylvie says she can't talk now. Guess I will have to try again from farther back...I'm really getting tired of having to replay so many parts of this game!!!

If the Count isn't with you on the ship then it sounds as though you haven't done everything that's necessary outside of it. Is the roof open, and the ship filled with gas? Rather than replay just yet, read back carefully over the walkthrough and see if there's any step you don't recall doing. When you were on the yacht did you pick up the gold coin?

I have given up on the game performing this part properly. I have replayed it several different ways and it always seems to end the same. Yes, I have everything done I needed to do, I have all of my inventory items, etc. each and every time though (according to the youtube video)it should take me & Germain directly to the airship after my conversation with Sarah is completed, but it doesn't. This game has had several glitches in it for me so far, and I think this is another one. Does anyone have a savegame with them BOTH on the bridge of the airship?

I'd appreciate it, its either that or I throw my computer out the window! LOL

Side note: went back and watched the youtube vid again and compared it once more with my games, I think the problem is that the money never seems to go to Sarah. They have the conversation and she supposedly takes it and counts it, but it stays in my inventory. i think thats my glitch & why it won't progress properly!
