I managed to find and buy this game on amazon.de and am enjoying it greatly. I wonder has anyone any idea when (or if) an English version will be released?

I think on a previous thread it was established that the english version will be out some time this year.

Well since JoWood went under the English language release of the game is in danger.

I agree Djinjifla, but as many times as we have stated that fact, latest time in this thread here , everyone still hopes it is coming. I, for one, will believe it when I see it.

Ana, I'm with you. I've gotten my hopes up for this game too many times. I have a tiny hope it will someday surface, but until then, I'll believe it when I see it. frown

I just read about that. Apparently JoWood filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 7, 2011. Since JoWood owns Dreamcatcher, does this mean the end of Dreamcatcher and their "The Adventure Company" division?

Fof now, sadly yes. JoWood's the parent company so when they go under everything goes down with them.

There's still hope though, JoWood may be back on its feet very soon.

When JoWood bought DC/TAC i thought that was the worst thing that could have happened... EVER.

JoWood's one of the worst publishers I've ever seen in my life.

When I heard earlier about the lack of an English language publisher, I bought Book of Unwritten Tales from Amazon.de. There's someone who posted a YouTube video and file with English subtitles here . Unfortunately the English translation isn't the best, but I figured it's better than nothing. There's also some BOUT walkthrough videos on the same site. smile

Buy.com has this on their site as a pre-order with a release date of 3/23/11. Not many details, but the picture of the box is in English.

I've just finished playing the German language version. It was an amazing game and I felt sad at the end (always a sign of a good game when you feel sad at its passing!). I recommend the game for its strong storyline, and feel/ humour and length of the game and its puzzles. I hope for the sake of all the non German speaking gaming community the English language version is made asap.

It would be nice if this game could be released here as well. frown

Glad you are able to enjoy it, Vic! smile
