I have the download from GOG for this game. It plays fine until I get to the quay and go into the shed/cave/boathouse?? I just did 2 slider puzzles to open the gate. I click on the cage and get the BSOD every time. Anyone else have problems with this? Any ideas why?

I haven't played this one, but have you tried to contact the folks at GOG about this. They may be able to help you. Also check out the forums there. Someone else may have had the same problem.

Thanks, Cathy, for the suggestion. I've been there and someone else did, but I think they were on Win7. No one has offered any help.

Got a couple of ideas to try when I get back to the game though. But I'm always open for more. smile

lazydaisy,

There is a solution (sort of) in the GOG forums. Try this link. Namur has attached a saved game from right after Nico clicks on the shell casing under the old boat.

It's amazing how memory fades. I cannot remember if moving a game from Program Files to, say, My Documents did any good at resolving issues like this in XP (I have Win7 now) but you might try reinstalling someplace other than the default location if this problem keeps popping up.

Gil.

Thanks,Gil. I may try that first. It seems strange because that spot seems to be where the demo ends from BigFish and others had issues because of that. But I didn't download any of it from BigFish so that shouldn't be a problem. Guess, I'll have to "tinker" a little with it.

Got it working -- not sure how it was solved smile
I tried playing in augmented screen resolution and it works fine. Don't know if I will chance it full screen again or not. Thanks for all the help.
