Hi all fellow guildmates smile

In case you don't know, then we now only need 7% more to reach lvl 2 in the guild.
Considered there's really only 4-5 regular players in the guild, that's awesome after only 2 months, right? laugh

But - I'd really like if we could just get past lvl 2 - so please sign in and do a few daylies or quests - that'll make it go superfast.

Looney,

I have noticed you and Soot in Tol Baard, are you doing just the dailies or have you been on the battleground? Is it anything like Wintergrasp? I would like to hear about any info you can give before I make the attempt. I enjoyed Wintergrasp, I would rather get Honor points from there if the portals where still in Dalaran. That place is now a ghost town.

Thanks
wave Linda

Hi ya Linda,

Yes we do dailies out there (there is some great gear as well as a pet and 2 mounts to be had) but we also do the battle when we can.

The battle is more like Arathi Basin than Wintergrasp. The idea is to control the 3 bases simultaneously if you are the attacker. If you are the defender, you just need to keep one base to win.

So, what happens a lot is everyone rushes to base 1, takes it, leaves a couple to defend and then off to base 2, rinse and repeat. Of course, at the same time, the defender comes in and takes the base you just left.

There has been a lot of complaining as folks believe the battle is slanted toward the defender, but I know Blizzard is and has taken steps to balance it better. However, I know the defender can loose it as I've been there when it happens.

I die a lot, but you respawn as an attacker very near the base you died in. Defenders have a little further to go, but not much.

When your faction is in control, there are 6 to 10 extra dailies (found on Tol Barad proper, not the peninsula where the 6 are that you can always do) to be done for rep and commendations (used to purchase the above mentioned goods).

As an 85, we can't do WG anymore. My favorite part of WG was to either get a gun on the wall, or get a vehicle. There are no guns on the wall in TB, but there are vehicles to be found (not in the same place like in WG)which are used in the tower attacks (not useful against players). The attacking side can take down 3 towers (not the same as bases). Each tower gives the attacker 5 extra minutes...a bit like WG.

The battle is limited to 15 to 30 minutes, depending on how many towers go down. I die a lot...I'm terrible at PVP, but every now and again I get a kill happydance

Unlike WG, you can que for TB via the Dungeon Finder from wherever you are at 15 minutes before the battle, and it starts around every 2 hours. If you get in, you'll be pulled in just like in a dungeon. Sometimes when we que, we don't get in though.

Looney, thanks for all the info. I knew about the dailies on the peninsula, but not the ones across the bridge to the other area. I will check them out the next time Alliance is in control. Some day I'll get up the nerve to do the battle.

Thanks again.

Alright, so I've have taken the plunge and started on the Argent Tournament.
Anything I need to know - any tips? smile

As for TB - I have crossed the bridge and been all over, but I still haven't explored all of TB - why is that?
Where do I need to look for the Hole? lol laugh

Ok, I have done some of the Argent Tournament, but I just can't get the hang of the "jousting". I find that controlling my mount and hitting buttons at the same time confusing. crazy Even Pip at level 85 and higher health stills dies. rotfl

Misslilo, if you mean the "hole" to be the dungeon you can't enter untill your faction is in control.

Lindy, that part is really hard. Hubby and I found that getting behind your opponent and spamming the charge button seems to work. luck

Hey all smile

How about we all start working on our alts in the guild, so we can get to lvl 5?
An extra 5% in reputation sounds really good, right? laugh

Ok, so patch 4.1 hit us and I love the new guild Tabards laugh

Especially that you can buy more than one and just send it to a low lvl alt.
If you buy the purple one, you'll gain +100% reputation for guild...!

Also, should be much easier now for alts to join guild - just search it, then apply and the guild members can see the requests and approve or not.
