A new trailer has been released today by Lace Mamba Global for the upcoming horror point & click adventure game Black Mirror 3. You can watch the new trailer HERE. This new trailer, available with English subtitles, will help players catching up with the epic background story of the Black Mirror adventure game series, as well as with the latest events of Black Mirror 3. The trailer, narrated by Black Mirror 2 and 3 author Anne von Vaszary, also gives insights in the development process of the game, showing footage filmed at the development studio Cranberry Production in Hanover, Germany. Black Mirror 3, the final episode of the award-winning horror and mystery point & click adventure game series, takes players back to locations around the Black Mirror Castle. Black Mirror 3 features a total of 62 different locations, some of which may be familiar to players of the original game, and all locations have a completely new graphical look.
The story connects with the end of Black Mirror 2, and promises a deep, mysterious story, including two playable characters.
After his escape into the woods, Darren Michaels, one of the two main characters of both Black Mirror 2 and 3, stands with a burning torch in his hand, and turns to look back at the blaze engulfing Black Mirror Castle. Confusion reigns...
A short time later, he barely reacts as the handcuffs are closed on his wrists. The police have arrested Darren as their main suspect, and subject him to extensive questioning. But Darren is numb to the events occurring around him, and he withdraws into a deep emptiness.
After three weeks of detention - and tormented by sleepless nights, nightmare-like visions, and the chilling specter of murder and death - Darren is set free. Darren is now alone. He must try to find out what has happened, and lift the veil on his clouded past. What did he really see with those jet black eyes, what does the nightmare mean? Who is the mysterious person who posted bail and set him free? What dark force lies behind the tangled web of riddles, mysterious secrets and entwined relationships?
The answers to all these questions await puzzle and adventure game fans in the six exciting chapters of Black Mirror 3.
Lace Mamba Global plans to publish Black Mirror 3 in April 2011 in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia and the Benelux countries.

Thanks Carla. I purchased Black Mirror 2 but have not started the game yet.
It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

I agree... I really liked BM and was slightly disappointed when BM 2 took on a different story line.. was pleased when he went back to England. So I look forward to the return of the storyline.

I'm hoping Dave at Interact will be able to get the game for us when it's released in the UK and Europe so we won't have to wait for an official release in the US.
And just to stick my two cents in, as far as I'm concerned Black Mirror 2 beat the original game all hollow, and the gameplay itself was miles better. But then, I enjoyed the segment in Biddeford and it didn't bore me at all. Takes all kinds, I guess.
Anyway, I've seen only one comment from someone who's already played it and the verdict was that aside from some shortcomings in the graphics it was the best game of the three. Let's hope. I hate waiting!

Traveler, maybe it's just because I played Black Mirror 2 first and felt I was late to the party. On my first play through, I felt like there were a lot of details that weren't resonating with me because I hadn't played the first game. I heard that it could stand on its own, but actually, I found that when I watched some of Black Mirror 1 on YouTube, I appreciated the entire story a lot more. I'll have to go back and replay BM 2 at some point to see if my opinion's changed. I did enjoy it, though. And, yes, BM 3 does look really intriguing.
