I hate any games that have a timer. I stay any from casual game with a timer. I took the elevator down to the other rooms. Everything is locked. Lot of chairs to move around. Keep running out of time. Just got all of his stuff from the locker with the red buttons. Richard

There just isn't enough time to explore for a solution. How did you get into the cabinet? It looks to me that the aim is to get through the magnetically sealed grate in the back of the server room.

I used the paper that I have in my inventory. the one I found in my jail cell. It shows you what red buttons to press. I went to the grate and he says I have something else to do. Richard

Ah...Ha...thats what that paper is for. See, now I didn't even know those buttons could be pushed. Without it being a hotspot it can be missed. Many thanks
Right clicking the grate he says it is magnetically lacked or something like that.
I can't wait to get by this part so I can get back to exploring on my own without time constraints.

Glad you got all your inventory items back. I really don't know what to do now. I think I have about two minutes left. Not enough time. Richard

I have got as far as getting my items back, getting the night vision goggles from the storage room, and cutting the power, but that little door at the back of the server room still won't open, it's magnetically sealed.

Thanks for the help but this part is becoming so frustrating to me that it isn't worth the aggravation since I detest timed areas. I give up until Bert can finish this area or I can get a saved game. Hope there aren't any more of this in the game.
I actually have tried to go into the games files to see if there is a way to change the timer settings. Tried a few things that didn't work...hmmm maybe I was suppose to start again before the timer started. Think I will try that again.

Yeah that prison sequence is way too long and unforgiving. It took me ages to figure out what I was supposed to be doing (often without understanding why I had to do that, just trying random stuff until it worked) and died dozens of times. Not fun. To me it's important to explore, not to memorise a sequence and try again and again until you get it right... Here's what you need to do as soon as the barriers are lifted: Go to last cell on left and open drawers under bed. There is a bit of iron there, take it. Use the access card you created from the drink label on the door and open it. Enter new room. Behind the computers on the right, there is something that you can move heavy stuff with. Take it and use it on the big server next to the entrance (behind you). Look at the floor, see the round patches and use that bit of iron from the cell on it. Now go up the stairs at the other end of the room and find a fire extinguisher hidden behind some computer screens. Take it and use it on the iron thingy. The floor cracks. Now move the server on top of the broken floor and the floor will break even further. Move the server out of the way, use C-button to crouch and jump in. Look towards the prison you came from and go forward. Take the first right, right again, go left, right, left, right (may have to look up and down to see the exit a few times) and click on the grill to open it. Use the C-button again to stand up. Find the locker and take the loose shelf. Now go to the toilets, there is a storeroom here. Open the drawer of the desk and take the cutter. Stand on the stairs next to the locker and use the cutter on the box, take the nightvision goggles. Finally the locker itself. Use the wrapper with the zigzagline on the lock to see which buttons to press. Inside you find an envelope that contains all your stuff. Exit the storeroom and go to the server room. Go down with the elevator and find two chairs on wheels. One is in the first office on the left. Grab it and roll it back to the elevator. Another office on the right has a chair on wheels as well, grab that too. Now go back up again and move the chairs to the reactor room one by one. Use the shelf you found on the yellow wall underneath the reactor and climb it (or place the chairs next to it and climb them) so that you can reach the two switches on the reactor. As soon as you turn one, it will get dark, but if you grabbed the nightvision goggles you will put them on automatically. Now use the fire extinguisher on the reactor and Nick will say it's cooled off a bit. Place the chairs left and right from the lower end of the shelf until they are stuck. Click on the reactor and it will slide down onto the chairs. Now grab the chairs with the reactor and take them to the elevator and go down. Now the magnetic lock is switched off and you can escape through it. Go to the second opening on the left and end up in a new location.
I am a bit further than this and haven't encountered any more timed sequences, but I am nowhere near the end (I think) so not sure if there are any more.
I'll be back, one day, when I feel like it.

PolloDiablo, Could you send me a save after the timed prison puzzle. I'm no good at timed puzzles. Thank you so much. Richard

Thank you Pollo
With your help I have managed to get by this testy part. Who would have known (besides Pollo) that you were to click on an empty shelf of which you could only see the edge of to be able to proceed. I completely missed that. Can you believe that after finally going through all of this when I did manage to get through the grate the game crashed on me...geesh.
To save valuable seconds instead of riding the elevator down for the chairs and again once you have the reactor I just stood back and pushed the elevator button and then jumped down the ladder. I was able to go and get the first chair before the elevator reached the bottom. Another part I had a lot of trouble with was stacking the chairs so I could climb them the see both levers on top of the reactor. For some reason I could not climb the shelf/ramp.
Kjos
I will see if I can send you a save but you may have to play the rest of the game under GreyFuss in the profiles.

Can someone tell me if I need to exit Novatech the way I came in? I believe I have done everything on the floors but when I try to go back through the elvator the way I came in I get the message "I need to do something else first" or similar I do not remember the exact verbiage. I am so looking forward to the prison section - not . It will be curious to see how it goes using a laptop and the touchpad after reading some of the troubles of getting through it. Thanks RNL

Which elevator are you talking about? The window washers or the one inside the building? The one inside the building should take you all the way down to where the transport is and you should be able to access the map from there.

GreyFuss,How are you doing? I'm in a room with a big crane that I can move sideways and up and down. How do I get power to the crane so I can pick up the round thing
Climbed another ladder and am in another room with police cars. Got caught by the police(game over)

Kjos I am still in the Police station well...actually, in the maze of sewers under the station.
There is a few things you need to do to find your way into the sewers. There is a box in the hangar that you need to move and drop somewhere. There is a box in the upper part of the crane area that needs to be sent down to the crane area. Hope that helps. I haven't had much more time to play today

Thank you GreyFuss, I just did not turn around to see the door - silly me. That is what I get for playing this in between watching some March Madness basketball.

As far as I know... you don't. Have you tried to climb over it? Save before you do just in case

I must have walked 10 miles in the sewers and got my feet wet. Picked up a crowbar and a plastic bottle. Cut the bottle with a saw. So tired from walking.

I here ya. Been doing the same since yesterday. Found some interesting areas but can't get in. Thought maybe there was some power panel somewhere for the round elevator and the other force fields but can't find anything, So we are in the same boat now and I can't get back out of the sewers.

I saw the power panel for the round elevator. I guess I will keep running in the sewers until Bert adds more to the WT. Thanks
