Started playing Rhem & have seen all the rooms, I think.
I am at kale's quarters. got through the power door and trying to do the power circuit.
my problem is that when I come into room, I get the first screen, tells me to go to the right, but I never seem to be on wall WT says. I'm not facing west when I come in like WT says.

I just cannot get this, is there away of getting saved game at this point or will it mess up what I have done?

and , if so, where are the saved games? I can't find them, like lots of other things I can't find .......

help please

When you enter that power circuit room, you will see a set of wires-pipes on an inner wall in front of you. That is the west wall.

You then turn right and you will be facing the north wall.
Follow the walkthrough to set the wires on that inner wall. Good luck.

As for where the saved game is located - it is inside the Data folder - then DPOT folder. luck

I got that email, saved it, then went to rhem -data-dpot. There are none of my saved games I saved so far in there. only file named ver.

can't figure out why they are not there.

Tried unzipping your save several times, trying to save it in dpot folder. Tried searching for my saved games by name, no luck there either. i have 5 games of mine saved , come up when playing game , but no sign of them in data folder.

Any other help or should I just dump the game and start over?
As far as using the WT, I tried that so many times, maybe I am doing the turns wrong. i turn right at first screen set the knobs, then do I go ahead , then turn to face screen with knobs, go left or and go right again etc. I am confused with the upward slash arrow and the turn right arrow.

You are circling the inner wall by going to your right all the time and facing the inner wall.

You solve the north and south walls.
The west and east walls are for information to show where the flow of power is.
The solution is pictured in the walkthroughj - use one of the 2 given solutions.

Good luck.

I don't know where your saved game is located but I thought that the default is in the Rhem 4 folder - data - DPOT folder for all OS.

I still can't get the save game you sent me to go into data, DPOT folder. The ones in there show up as 1a, 1b , 2a,2b, 3a, 3b etc. , which don't show up like that when I load a game while playing.

i do have to extract that file you sent, don't I ? I did that and renamed it 3a, but that don't work either.

i really would like to play this game.

is there any possibility anyone could explain exactly how to move? I try to

follow wires around but they seem to go right and left. IS this the way it

works OR maybe i am going crazy....

if you can do anything to help me before i dump the game or else will just start a different game.

Each saved game is made up of 2 files; so save 1 is made up of 1a and 1b.

You unzip the folder I sent to you and take out the files. Then place only the files (not the folder) in the DPOT folder.

As for the wires:
1. Enter the room.
2. Turn right, forward, left, forward and left to face the inner wall.
3. Arrange the wires on that inner wall this way.
.
4. Turn right, forward, left, forward to the other side of the room.
5. Turn left, forward, left and face in the inner wall.
6. Arrange the wires this way:
.
7. If correctly done, hear a bell sound. luck

i think that's what i have done dozen times and got same result

but i followed your pictures, exactly, got the bell sound, but door don't open. it is supposed to open, when i press the button right ? i thought. but that don't happen.

i will try again to use files you sent me. if that don't work, i wonder if the cd is bad.

i have it installed on windows 7 and on xp pro, so guess it's not my computer.

thank you so much, i feel really bad about all this, so will see what i can do.

No - that puzzle is not to open the door.
That puzzle is to bring power to the other sites and will be seen when you use the TV in the other room.

i got a little further. i am in the Black crystal room and have set all the panels, according to the WT. do we put the numbers in the boxes on the wall yet or later.

i have the color boxes both set to violet.anyway when i press the red, mine still shows violet button, i do get the beams shooting out and i think the green button flashes.

but, again i can't open this door.

what bothers me is the fact that when i turn from color box , the button i should press is still violet. if it is supposed to be red, how do i change it SORRY FOR MY WEIRD WRITING, NEED A NEW KEYBOARD, I GUESS
hope you can understand me ......
CAN'T WAIT TO GET TO NEW PART OF RHEM

Got that done...but I had to send computer in for repair and they wiped everything out...so I am starting over.

I am in the Black CRYstal room , powered up, and trying to get the pads set up.

WT says w-62, does that mean I would enter the symbol shown in WT , West lines, and then which box do I put the numbers in? Would it be the box next to it or one across the room facing it, don't understand this part. or where do numbers go?

Or is this something to do with how the wires go in this room, too?

With all the question being asked, I don't know if I will ever make it, but would like to try.

Any help will be appreciated,

misskedi

The numbers are entered in the cabinets seen around the room.
From the wt: enter the numbers on the corresponding cabinet facing that cardinal direction.
So W-62 should be the cabinet facing west.

As for the pads and lines, use the cables behind the pads shown in the pictures as your guide. luck

From Kale's quarters,I leave and go to thatched roof area. I have code that opens door. Looked at all pictures, see shapes inside, set button to purple, go to fireplace. When I look to right from there,I see the panel shapes but do not see them in color on wall outide, so can't set up the color squares. Any ideas why?

I have been to and in 9 doors hallway, hill courtyard, and other doors. Am now in Bell tower area having problem there too. I have gone back and redone many of these areas, many times, but can't get any further.

Must be missing something, but can't find where.

Help again please,

misskedi

The panel you see right of the fireplace is black and white only.
Also the shapes on the wall outside (right wall) are black and white.
The only panel that is in color is the square button right of the puzzle panel (right wall). This is the button that should match the children paintings.
After the correct shapes in the puzzle panel - see lights flash on the wall shapes. That is the one you enter in the panel right of the fireplace.

That's one of my problems, I enter the colors shown in the color at the right, the T shape, E shape etc., if I'm doing this right, but lights never flash.
Don't seem like they have any power.

And when I go into Door 4, I can't open door to pick up item in there.

Isn't the power still supposed to be on now?

If you did the power room correctly - yes; there should be power.
Can you watch the TV now? Also, you have power in doing the puzzle in entering the thatched roof hut. If so - then there is power.

Try to skip this puzzle and later in the game - see if you can work on the panel right of the fireplace.

You don't pick up an item in door 4. There is a closed cabinet in there for later in the game.

I have got past this part now and got through lots of Door 9 doors. I am now at the grilled window before getting access the Bell Tower part.

Here I needed the code from the panel above the archway long way back. I did not get that code and I do not want to go through all the numbered doors again , my memory is not that good !!

So, is there any way to get a saved game AFTER getting across the Bell Tower, that is done that far?

If so, would you please send it to me?

I have the files you sent. I tried getting them into th DPOT folder but, guess I didn't do it right.

I don't quite under stand, sorry, I am 86 yrs old and getting harder for me.

I got them again in the Rhem folder. I have saved 5 games after starting new game. I uninstalled it all, I thought but, there still are 18 games listed in folder.

So,do I save the last game #5, as 1a and 1b, or isn't that what you mean?

Sorry I am so dense,

can you explain it again

The load list has 1 to 18 - some have saved games and some are empty if it was not used yet. It's just a number list.

Try this - since you took the files you have already in there. Hopefully you kept them in a safe place.
Place what I sent in there. Play load and check each of those numbers in the load page.
See which ones would be where you need to be. Keep us posted and luck

Thanks, I got the saved game working and I am into the Bell Tower trying to connect the bells to the panels of building across the way. I have followed the WT step by step. Every thing happened way it said it would until I got this far, I see the four bells and press all of them, but don't get any sound from the one way on the right.

The lines are connected, yellow lines going up and down , going to building across the way.

I found the record plaayer, took the record but, again when I play record I don't here all the sounds I need.

I have gone through these steps and don't know where I have missed something.

Any suggestions where I may have missed doing something I should have?
