Hi,
I have just bought the download of BM2 but after downloading it it will not play.
Stupid me did not check the system requirements.
The graphics card needed is 128mb Nvidia G force 6800 Unfortunately my card is nvidia Ge Force 6500/6200 series.
Is there any way I can play it with my card.
Thanks
glozza confused

Probably not.
But if you can get as far in as the Game Options Menu, you can try reducing graphics options to minimum.

I was able to run BM2 on my old computer that had a 256MB 6200. There were Nvidia driver issues, but it was correctable. See this thread Black Mirror 2 Char problems .

This thread black mirror 2 says the 6200 will work, although this earlier thread Black Mirror II says it won't.

All I know is that after correcting that driver issue described in that Black Mirror 2 Char problems thread, it worked for me.

Hi Uncle Reg,
I finally got BM2 running on my 256MB 6200 after fixing drivers ( my son did it ) ,now I want to order BM3.
I was wondering if you need more than 6200 card to run this one.
I am so sorry to be a pest but I would be grateful if you would be able to let me know as my son is not available think
Thanks

According to Direct to Drive ***Black Mirror 3*** has the same video card requirements as ***Black Mirror 2***.
Video Card: 128 MB graphics card with shader 2.0

They don't say anything about whether you'll have to change drivers though.

glozza,

My old XP computer with the 6200 died and I bought a new one. I did manage to revive the old one somewhat, and I was going to try and install BM3 on it to see if it would work, but the DVD drive no longer works properly and I couldn't get it installed.

The original BM2 that I played on the 6200 belonged to a houseguest who has since moved on, so when I bought BM3, I bought the collection which contains BM2 and BM3. The manuals for both games are on the DVD in PDF format, and both manuals list the same requirements for video cards. That's about all I can offer since I couldn't get BM3 installed on the old computer.

I just started playing BM2 again on the new computer, because I never got to the end on the old computer before it died. I have not installed BM3 yet. I just finished Lost Horizon and Gray Matter, both excellent games, and an older game that I never got around to, Treasure Island, which was also pretty good. I had started Baron Wittard, but I had to take a break from it for a while, some really hard puzzles, and I decided to work on the BM games instead.
