I don't know if this subject has been brought up before...BUT....I really wish that BF would release two version of their games at once.Collectors ,and Regular version. I forget when the regular version comes out, and I don't search for it, plus you can't use your game credits on the collectors edition... I really haven't used any of my credits lately cause every time in the morning..The site always has a good game ,but its a collectors edition.. Also I would buy the collectors edition if I could use two game credits.. Hope they come up with a better plan in the future.. Thank You

If you want developers to produce decent games, they need money to do so. How quickly we forget that all casual games were 19.99 all the time. It seems the more people get, the more people want. If you want the CE, let the developer know and pay a few extra dollars for it. If not, wait a few weeks and buy the standard edition.

Your right, Winfrey I would gladly use two game credits to get the CE... Not a problem at all with doing it that way.... I just want to be able to use the two credits...Can't understand why we can't do that

I'm still hoping to see 2 game credits = 1 CE; that would be very nice. In the meantime, I think of it the same way that I do books; I can spring for the hardcover, or wait for the paperback. I'm hoping for the same, Marian!!!!

I don't know if this subject has been brought up before...BUT....I really wish that BF would release two version of their games at once.Collectors ,and Regular version. The developers need a chance to release the CE first to try and make a few dollars more. I think it's great that they eventually release a SE version as well, they don't have to. I guess we can choose to find things that are negative or choose to find things are good. I believe we are very fortunate to get so much entertainment for less than the cost of a movie and I'm thankful I have a choice.

Ana. I am very Thankful for their games... I only want the option to buy the collectors edition using two game credits.. I don't care if they release the reg version later...Thats ok !!! I just want to be able to use my credits...After all I am a member..I buy a credit every month... What bothers me is that I not only buy credits every month, but the CE I have to pay seperate if I want that.....I don't feel thats a fair practice...

They have explained why they do not charge 2 credits many times. At the moment their software can handle the application of 1 credit per game. They have been working quite sometime now on getting it to recognize a CE and charge 2 credits. As simple as it seems to me, apparently, they have not yet accomplished this. Ana

I'm sure that BFG has payed attention to the hue and cry about using punch card credits to buy CE's. Personally, I'd prefer that BFG continue to offer good quality games at overall reasonable prices rather than sell developers short. The argument is always framed as being a matter of "unfair practices" rather than cost. I don't understand this. I'm sure that if BFG could allow the use of punch card credits to buy CE's and remain profitable, while at the same time encouraging the development of quality games, they'd find a way to do it. With the popularity of hand-held gaming systems, it's hard to find PC games in retail stores. I imagine that the change in demand has also effected the choices that developers make when determining how to best market their talents. Just my two cents. But then, as someone who also enjoys adventure games, I'm accustomed to waiting for 1 or 2 years for the next game. Mr. Lipid: When a member uses a credit to buy a game, they are getting something for free. That means that the developer makes nothing on that "purchase". At least, that's how I see it. There must be a point at which it's been determined that a developer has been adequately compensated for their work. I'm sure there are contracts and agreements behind all this, just as with any other business.

The developer does get paid a percentage each purchase regardless of how it weas purchased, but they make more on a CE because it costs more. Ana

"When a member uses a credit to buy a game, they are getting something for free."
???? They pay for those Sparkle.. they are not free Sorry about the confusion. What I meant was that when a member "pays" for a game using a punch card credit, the game is free. That's different from a Game Club Credit, which costs the price of membership ($6.99). Thanks for pointing this out, Winfrey. Some feel that members should be permitted to use two punch card credits to buy a CE. Maybe there are also those who feel they should be able to combine a Game Club credit and a punch card credit to purchase a CE. Or buy an extra Game Club credit along with monthly membership credit to purchase a CE. The possibilities are endless.

[quote=MrLipid]If the credits are free, I have a lot of unexplained charges on my credit card attributed to something called Big Fish Games... ????????? Now I'm really confused. Punches aren't free. But when you use a filled punch card code ( "pays" for a game using a punch card credit), you are getting a game for free. No? That's what I meant in the first place. It's a matter of semantics, I suppose.

One thing that occurs to me is that if we were able to use credits to buy CE editions, then we should only get 2 credits on the punch card too. I think BFG has been really generous to give us 3 punch card credits for a game that only costs us the equivalent of 2 credits. Thats just my appreciation of BFG and my "two cents" worth. Kathy

Becky...Your too funny I love BF games...I think the games are wonderful...I too appreciate that we do get a Great bargain for games at BF... I just want to be able to purchase a collectors editions with my game credits that I pay for every month...I put away $6.99 every month to buy those credits...When a CE comes out...I don't have extra money to buy it for $13.99 which is a good price, but I don't have it.So I do hope they find a way where you can use your credits "Which are not Free" credits to buy the CE...

The comment that thet are trying to develope software taht will except two credits and not just one credit seems very weak to me. All develppers and BFG have hired people that should be able to program thier software to accept two credits within one workday. They are privetly owned compines, not Federal or State employees. GET IT DONE!!!!!!!
Today is the best day of my life So Far!
