Im at the canal and I can't find the trash can so I can get the bottle and tape I've been going back and forth from steps to canal but I still cant find it. Where exactly is it?

Check the bench that is in front of the building.
It is left side of the entrance.
The trash can is left of that bench.

I got it thanx but now Im stuck on the valve for the hydrogen pump I can't get anyone to talk to me I know its at the customs office but they wont talk to me so I can get it am I missing something.

When you first spoke to the people at the customs office did they mention the parcel at all? Because there is a game glitch at this spot whereby the dialogue is exhausted but the parcel doesn't automatically make it to inventory, so the player is stuck.

If that's the case, here's a solve which worked for zookeeper on an older thread:
I had to click on my notebook and open the documents tab. The parcel was in there. I clicked on the parcel and that put it in the window on the screen as if it had been in the inventory. I clicked on the image of the parcel and the valve appeared in my inventory.

Otherwise, check that you have spoken completely with Sarah, and that she gave you money to get the parcel.

its not working ive done the notebook and documents and then parcel clicked it still won't give me the valve and still nobody is talking to me.

Might be best that you go back to a saved game and replay from there. The hiccup might disappear.
