Hi Only now starting to play this game and have just been given the puzzle book by the boyfriend. Must I solve the puzzles in the book to progress through the game - or are they a "choose to do" thing ?? Cheers. Mad

Hi Mad, You only need to solve one puzzle of each of the three different types that Rentaro gives you. That unlocks other puzzles of the same type but they are optional.

Yes, I am enjoying it, thank you, but of course I've not played that much yet. Still, so far I haven't had to collect a million herbs and make a million meals or clean a million rooms

I'm struggling with the "sorting out the wire" on the back of the portrait that fell off the wall at reception when I arrived. There is probably an obvious way to solve it but I'M not seeing it I realise that being a non- linear style game I might have to re-do some parts, but all the same, could I request a saved game please ?? [I'm playing at Junior Level.] Thanks again. Mad

Aggghhh !! Chores Hate 'em I've arrived at the part where I have to fill Bento boxes. But do I want to use my game playing time fiddling and messing about trying to make sense of such vague pictures ?? [ And no cheating available being a random puzzle ?? ] I did quite like this game till now but I'm afraid Nancy and I could very easily be parting company here

Dare I tell you that there are three of these Bento box puzzles spread throughout the game? Did you take a peek at the help sheet on the game screen itself? It explains how to solve them. MaG's walkthrough also is very helpful. Alternatively, link to a screenshot of the game screen here, and we'll solve it for you. (Remember to save and not back out of the puzzle, otherwise it resets.) Or we have saved games. Don't give up!

Hi Thanks !! Suddenly coming upon a "chores" type puzzle after earnestly hoping there wouldn't BE any just upset my applecart !! Haven't been able to get back to the game yet but it appears that when I do I need to try and find the time to "study" this puzzle. But if I can't manage enough time then I'll be back for a saved game because I certainly like the story of this Nancy Drew so far Cheers. Mad

After an unavoidable absence, I just got back to playing "Water's Edge" and was making good progress until I got locked in room 33 So is there possibly a save available for after the completion of the balcony lock puzzle, please ?? Can't seem to get to grips with it at all Thanks. Mad
