If you have graphics problems running some older games like Sanitarium or Black Dahlia, then playing around with your graphics gard settings can solve some graphics problems.

I have a Nvidia Card Geoforce 8800m GTS, Win 7 32bit laptop. Had graphics problems with Sanitarium (GOG download). Changed the card program settings and it looks great. Even plays longer without crashing.

Done this with other games (Black and White, Black Dahlia, Pharaoh's Curse) and have improved game play.

What changes did you make in your graphics card settings?

Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

On the individual program settings page:

1. Program to customize: sntrm.exe

2. Settings (some were unavailable to change)
Anisotropic filtering: app controlled
Antialias Gammma: on
Mode: override
Transparency: multi
Max pre-rendered frames: 8
Multi-display: single performance
Power Manage: Maximum performance
Texture filltering -
Anisotropic sample: off
Negative LOD: allow
Quality: Quality
Trilinear opt: on
Threaded opt: off
Triple buffering: on
Vertical sync: use 3d app

In the program compatability:

Run in Win 95
256 colors
640-480 screen res
disable visual themes

These settings seem to work for me.
*I am sorry, not done this before. The gamma setting should be OFF not on.

To be honest, I have no idea what most of the settings mean. When I was complaining about not being able to play some old games, ny nephew mentioned playing around with the card settings. I would change a setting, play, keep or change it again until the game played.
