Just a month away! Alpha Polaris, the new horror adventure game created by Finnish developers Turmoil Games, will be available soon for digital download from the Official Website initially in german and english. In the midst of the snowfields of Greenland lies Alpha Polaris™, an American oil research station. High above, the ion storm of the century is gathering, bringing about a strange intermixing of reality and night terrors. It is up to Rune Knudsen, a Norwegian biologist, to take on a desperate struggle against fear and death, and to face the primordial force lurking beyond the veiled sky.
Mature, character-driven storyline
Streamlined point & click interface
Puzzles are an integral part of the story
3D characters in beautiful, pre-rendered scenes
Full spoken dialogue

Hi Mad  , I know for sure that Dtp is publishing the game in german speaking country, let's hope that Lace Mamba will publish it in the rest of Europe!

I just downloaded the english demo. I want to see if the resolution will work nicely on my computer. Cathy EDIT... Well I finished the demo. Things were just starting to pick up. There were a couple of swear words in it. It looks like it is going to be a great game. Cathy

Maybe this game will be good but whats up with the speech bubbles with the 2D character stills? As far as I could see there isn't a way to turn this off. Maybe this was needed before the decision to have the game fully voiced but it isn't necessary now. Hopefully before the game is released there will at least be an option to turn this on/off as I found it distracting.

Gil. I think I've read somewhere that games created with a specifik engine e.g. the free Wintermute Engine demands that you set a resolution before develooping the game as the Wintermute Engine can't handle different resolutions. There should be a version 2 of the Wintermute Engine being developed, though. And Gil, do you still have a CRT screen, because I have a widescreen monitor, and the demo played rather nicely.
