Have got as far as page 7 Another trap. Can't get the pig to pas safely over the trap, what aren't I doing right please?

Is this the first pig after the beach?
If so - do the reverse of the "scare the beast" spell - you want the pig to come to you - not away from you.

Thanks, have now got as far as page 13 Compass and Stumps Gaius has put down the arrow to the right but I can't move - what do I do please.

This is a random puzzle; so you have to deduce it on your own.

You see brown circles on the top of the stumps.
You have in inventory - several compasses. These compasses have holes in them.

The aim of the puzzle is to place one or more compasses on the stump showing the original brown circles through the holes in the compass(es) you placed on top of it.
Once done correctly, an arrow will show were to go next and he will say that he did the puzzle.
