how do I get from the camp back to the castle I can go left and right but when I go left and right I can't go forward twice am I doing something wrong?

Did you turn around completely from the camp, i.e. to face the opposite direction, or did you just pull back from close-up? I think you need to be facing the opposite way before following the walkthrough's directions.
