when my radeon card died , i switched to the video card that was on- board. now i need to upgrade , and i don't know what to get for this computer.
it's a dell dimension 4600 ,and when i tried to find a card at newegg ,i had no idea what would work...help,please ,and thank you.

Not impossible, but might be hard to find something. The specs for this very old computer say it has an AGP 4X slot. And unless you upgraded the power supply for the Raedon card, it's only 200 watts which really limits you.

drac , i believe it was upgraded when i bought it. how do i let you know ?

ps - i found this - "pentium R , 4cpu 3.00 GHz , 2.99 GHz "
is that of any use ?

The only way to be certain is to open up the case and read the label on the PSU.

This page has a picture of a power supply down a little ways. The printing on the side is what you look for.
