Playing the demo what a great game. Not to many HO. Played about 45 min. and only three HO. If you go slow you can random click on the HO. You take pictures and you can travel to that location. It's more of a adventure than A HOG.
It's a buy for me.

bkrytr, try the demo maybe you can find more HO. I play slow so don't let me fool you in the HO. The hints recharge fast also. It really a great game.

During the demo I found 5 or 6 HO scenes. It seems to be a fairly long game based on the number of rubies that you need to find. And, although many on BF thought there was too much handholding, I found myself stuck more than once. It's always good to retrace your steps, and this game makes it easy to do by using the photos. I think it's worth a punch card credit. wink

I am in the middle of the game and really like it. I love the game play, jumping from location to location, and the fact that gears show up on the photos of the places you need to go back to.I also like the way the words on the list turn blue when you are close to the object. Overall, very good game.

I really like when games let you know areas that have something to do so you don't wander aimlessly. Thanks thracia.

"Pandora's Box" remains one of my all-time faves. And I'm enjoying this game as well. Lots of neat features and interesting storyline. Not to mention that I'm having NO technical difficulties with this one. happydance

I was really enjoying the game until I got towards the end and the game kicked me out. According to the forums at Big Fish other people are having the same problem. I have tried exiting restarting the comuter and still get kicked out. So I guess I can't finish until there is an update.

Sorry to hear that, lucinda. Hopefully a fix won't involve starting over with a new profile!

Sorry you're having trouble, lucinda. I got kicked out once and was able to just click on "Play Now" in the Game Manager, get back in, and continue.

I popped back in to say that I've been playing for a good part of the past two days and still going. Even with all the help the game provides, it's still a lot of fun. Every bit as worthwhile as any of the CE's offered lately. Lots of environments with a photo album of locations to access in order to jump to another area. Since there are so many locations, this is a welcome feature. Pretty impressive for a standard version game.

Sparkle, I agree. I liked the help the game itself gives you, especially since it is a SE without an intergrated strategy guide (which I have gotten very used to having in the CE editions). The game was long and more than worth the price.

I hope lucinda gets it working,it was a very enjoyable game.

I particularly liked the way the name a hidden object turns green when you're near or on top of it. This is because I am not an HO fan. I also had no objection to other hints because the nitpicking details of what to do next story line are far from pellucid.

This one packs a lot of play into a tiny download. Good job.

This game is so loaded with good qualities that I feel guilty making the following suggestion: in the next installments, go lighter on the noire and heavier on the eye candy. I get the horror comic look and appreciate how well it was accomplished. I just want a lighter touch. The whole town was depressing. This is a game, for goodness sakes.

I kinda like dark depressing towns filled with fog, ghosts, vampires, murderers, insane clowns, and creepy dolls. etc. You get the idea. Of course I would never want to live in one.scared

I go for them, too, if full of enough eye candy. For example, the coffin close-up and establishing shot before it are fantastic. I also thought the partial arm in handcuffs, then a use for the cuffs was a sparkling bit of dark humor. This game packs a wallop for both the money and the download size; the latter is an issue for me because Hughes Net has an annoying policy of slowing subscribers down after a rather small allowance that comes nowhere close to covering a full size game. The only reason I mentioned lightening up on the mine disaster theme is that the all the production values are so high. I don't bother commenting on games whose characters and story line are are so hopeless that no amount of beautiful visuals can save them.

Ah, then what did you make of the ending, 8dognight? Did it make sense to you?

"I also had no objection to other hints because the nitpicking details of what to do next story line are far from pellucid."

Loved that comment. <g>

Really enjoyed this game-worth the $'s. (and the download time on my monthly pay 5Gigs allowed usb)--enjoyed the 'photo album' so you could hop to different areas and the little gear wheel at bottom of the photo if something still to be done. Light flashes didn't bother me like I thought they might after reading some comments about the game. liked the artwork and the hidden object scenes were very nicely done-not any of that 'atmospheric' fuzziness that some developers do. Hope they have another one soon for us!

There is a new build for this game so I was able to reinstall and finish the game. I still really liked the game despite the problems.
