*****Small spoiler alert***** OY! Lemme ask you guys a question. In order to finish the nonogram did you: 1- Read and Understand the instructions, opened the book and just solved the puzzle with the instructions given? 2- Read the instructions, scratched your head, turn the page, looked at the picture and assume that this is the picture you have to create with the boxes 3- Read the instructions, TRIED to understand the instructions, turned the page and tried to USE the instructions . Gave up. THEN tried to look at the picture and assume that this is the picture you have to create with the boxes .FAILED MISERABLY . Went to Google and found Mags's WT and used the WT to solve the puzzle It was 2 for me. I TRIED to understand the instructions. And even after I solved the puzzle using the 2nd method, I just STARED at the puzzle trying to figure out HOW the puzzle could've been done using the instructions given to me

I solved the nonogram in the book with the instructions given. It was much quicker for me than the other puzzles in the book. (I stink at soduko. I usually can't even spell it correctly.) I haven't finished the game yet, though, and I understand from reading the review that there's a Gargantuan-Nonogram yet to come.

This was the best Nancy Drew game in ages for me and after getting over the shock of the first "lunch box" puzzle and receiving encouragement from MaG to persevere I managed the game fine and really enjoyed it. I wasn't aware, however, that I was doing any "nonograms" because I've never heard the term before

Hi, Becky! If you enjoyed the Nonograms in "Shadow at the Water's Edge", have I got a website for you. http://www.nonogramsonline.com/Yes, you do have a gargantuan Nonogram to complete near the end of the game. I won't tell you how many days I spent trying to solve it, but I was eventually successful. I had never played a game of Sudoku before, but I enjoyed it so much, I now play online every morning on my local newspaper's website . Have fun with the rest of the game! That was one of the better Nancy Drew games, IMHO. Susan Susan

Sudoku, Sudoku! You now play it online every morning? You go, girl! Thanks for the nonogram link. I am enjoying the story and characters in Shadow at the Water's Edge very much. But I know I'm going to have to "cheat" to get through more of the Sudoku if it gets any harder. It took me a long time to figure out the origami, and there was a time in my life (when I had young children) when I folded origami like mad. So go figure! Sometimes puzzles are tough, even if you're "experienced."

I haven't played the Nancy Drew games, but I'm hooked on nonogram puzzles. It's pure, logical noodling with a suprise picture reward at the end. One more website is www.webpbn.com. PBN stands for paint-by-number, which is one of the many names for these puzzles. This site hosts a community of puzzle solvers who create, solve, rate and discuss these kinds of puzzles, from small to large and in black & white or in 5 colors. The puzzle count on the site is now over 12,000. If anyone really enjoyed solving them in Nancy Drew games or in casual games, you might like the site in the link, also.

Hi, Becky! The degree of difficulty for the Sudoku puzzles increases as the week progresses. Monday's puzzle is extremely easy, but I rarely complete Friday's, Saturday's or Sunday's ! I needed to peek at the walkthrough to figure out the origami because I was completely lost, but I was proud of myself for solving all of the other puzzles without any help. I also enjoyed the characters and the story. There is a huge Sudoku puzzle that you'll have to complete (I think there were 5 of them that connected to each other) but, if I could solve it after never playing Sudoku before in my life, you shouldn't have any trouble. Hi, Becky! You have one Sukoku puzzle in the middle, and four more branching out from each corner. As I input the last number, I held my breath, and then let out a huge sigh of relief when I was correct ! Susan

I'll have Rentaro give me another one BTW I alos figured out the Bento Box. That was actually quite easy... once I flung the headphones across the room and actually concentrated
