Hey everyone. I decided that I'm going to get Syberia and Syberia 2. However, I would like to have the download version so I don't have any waiting other than the download itself. Is AdventureShop's $14.99 deal considered a steal? I can buy them at Big Fish but they each are $9.99 which doesn't save money.

Syberia is a steal at any price. You can join BF Club and get them at 6.99 each but either one is a great place and price to get them from. Ana

Grab em Dreamer. I think the first Syberia is one of the best games that I have ever played. Both games have beautiful graphics.
It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

@Ana: I joined the club for a few days but was afraid I'd forget to deactivate so I deactivated it. If I want to re-activate I have to pay the $6.99 charge up front which I never wanted to do. Thanks for the info though @SQF: Haha, is it really? I played Dreamfall which was somewhat similar except not point and click and I also played Journey to the Center of the Earth which had a similar click scheme but nowhere near as beautiful looking. The controls on the Syberias look fluid also

I've been playing this game for about an hour now and I must say...WOW I usually shy away from 3rd person point and click--only use 3rd person for PS3 or free-movement games. Anywho, this was surprisingly not filled with monotony at all and the story really wraps you in. From the moment I saw the opening intro, I was hooked. Such a strange yet cozy little town. Right now I've just discovered Oscar. He's quite the character. Now just to make those pesky legs of his...

Hi, Dreamer1990!
I purchased "Syberia" and "Syberia 2" when they were first released and paid $39.99 Cdn. for each one ... and they were worth every penny. I really envy you playing them for the first time because, as you've already discovered, you're in for a real treat.
I found Oscar to be a bit annoying when I first met him, but he eventually grew on me and turned out to be one of the most lovable characters I've encountrered in any computer game.
Enjoy!

You should point and click your way through the Hall of Fame (where Syberia resides, by the way). There's a wide range of tastes for you. Then you can start on this year's list. It beats me why some of them aren't already in the Hall of Fame. You'll see. Gil.

Have fun Dreamer I bought Syberia 2 and played it first Had heard alot of talk about it hear on GB and was THRILLED to find it a $9.99. Finances being what they were, I was SO HAPPY to get it at that price. Couple of years later, I bought the Syberia 1&2 on a DVD. Again a great deal at $9.99 \I didn't care that I already had S2. It was nice to have the game on one disk. The graphics blew my mind. i was so happy that my Vista PC could handle them
Dear forest animals, I've been singing for over an hour, where are you? Sincerely, Too lazy to clean the house

I am jealous of those of you that are just discovering Syberia. I can't give enough praise to Syberia 1; it just kept me glued to my keyboard with the story and graphics. Syberia 2 was also very good; I paid the full price (at the time)of $40--money well spent.
Enjoy!
The answer is....chocolate! Who cares what the question is.....

Awe, please don't feel jealous or envious! I am late to discovering games, haha. I thought about getting it for months now but I usually don't like that type of point and click. Glad I went out on a limb. I had to make myself stop playing so I could sleep last night. Now the train has stopped at some university and Oscar, of course, can offer no significant help *sigh*. I can't wait to see what awaits me and esp the second game I would play Gray Matter next but I don't know if it would work on my computer considering the demo claimed I didn't have a certain DLL file.

Just finished both games. They were amazing I was so shocked/sad with the Oscar event in Syberia 2, however. The mammoths were beautiful graphic wise. I really hope they make a Syberia 3. I'm not sure if they even still are? All in all, I highly suggest these! (not to pound it in to someone's head for the 1000th time...)
