Dayton Allen was the voice of John J Fadoozle (and Phineas T. Bluster)... also the voices of Deputy Dawg and Heckle and Jeckle (and others). He was one of the "men in the street" on the "The Steve Allen Show". (Allen Smith took over as Fadoozle around 1949 or 1950),
