You're not alone in having trouble getting past the end of Chapter 4. Here is what MaG has advised on previous threads:
Please check off the needed actions under "There is always a plant" in the walkthrough.
It might be an action, item or dialogue that might be missed.
Also check which location in the map is still not grayed out.
If it still is silver colored, go there and check what is needed to be done.
It's difficult to pinpoint exactly what has been missed, as everyone's gameplay is different.
