I am 3D disabled. There, I admit it.
I did watched a movie in 3D (Journey to the Center of the Earth) and didn't get it. I mean I didn't get the effect and ended up watching it sans glasses. Did like it.
I thought perhaps the Rocking Dead in 3D mode might be different. No go. And while the game has a 2D mode, I recommend any 3D challenged people not try it (made me rather dizzy).
Suspect it is a depth perception annomally, I have a neice with the same problem.
So, anyone else have problems with seeing/feeling the 3D effect?

I never was in my youth but as I get older, I find I get nauseous in the IMAX theatres and such and I never did before. Ana

I get somewhat nauseated at 3D movies, so I'm not too anxious to try 3D games. I'd hate to pay money for them and not be able to play.

I've always been amused by the 3d effect and can take it or leave it. I remember in my wasted youth seeing a 3d movie at a drive in called "Gentlemen Prefer Blonds" with Jane Russel and Marilyn Monroe. There was a scene where an actor was carrying Marilyn on his shoulder and she seemed to come out of the screen right at you and it was so real that my buddy busted his glasses. (which I think is self explanatory) (humming memories) Don't know how it would be on a PC game but I just got Rockin Dead and haven't opened it yet. Guess I'll check to see if it has 3d glasses in it and if so maybe try it. I'm curious to see how the effect is on a PC game.

It may be partially age tho I'm not that old. My neice is only 14 and wavers between not minding and wishing she could be like her friends. I used to love roller coasters, tiltawhirls...don't know if I'd enjoy them now.
Good luck "oldman", hope you enjoy playing the game. 3D galsses are included they were in mine anyway.
Least now I know I can bypass 3D PC games - well unless it is just something about this games graphics.

Well I liked the effect however the glasses are driving me crazy. The red lense makes my left eye kind of notice it's there all the time. That's the only way I know how to explain it. Anyway it's irritating so will definitely play this game in 2d.
Too bad though cause I kind of like the 3d effect of the game.
I saw a 3d movie in the theaters and those glasses didn't bother me and they didn't have the different colored lenses (at least that I could determine).

I had bought the game a couple of weeks ago (via download) and after reading the comments about being 3D challenged I decided to install it and give it a try, well although I am not 3D challenged, at least I think I am not (I only played it for 40 minutes and all was good), but as others have pointed out, I also prefer playing it in 2D, not impressed with the 3D and the cheap Cardboard glasses that I have probably didn’t help, I will switch to 3D when I change scenes to see what I am missing or not then switch back to 2D.
By the way, so far I agree with flotsam's review, me thinks this is going to be a disappointing game.... Well I shall put this game aside and continue on with Black Mirror 3 which so far I am very pleased with this game....

I did watched a movie in 3D (Journey to the Center of the Earth) and didn't get it. I mean I didn't get the effect and ended up watching it sans glasses. I watched 3D Avatar without the glasses. I saw parts of the movie that everyone else missed: the edges. 3D has many problems (screen is half as bright, glasses can hurt, blocks out many people, costs more, we evolved to converge AND focus at the same time) but Walter Murch (via Roger Ebert) described the biggest problem: it gives you only half a movie. I like to look at the whole screen, to glance around all the time. My eyes are always moving in a movie - I seldom just gaze zombielike at the middle, but that's all you can do with 3D. Tehe eyes can't reconverge fast enough for every part of the screen unless the camera moves VERY slowly. Add the strobing edge effects, and 3D movies are inherently smaller and more restrictive than their 2D counterparts. You only get half a movie.

Aha! Was at Doctors today and happened to pick up a handout and lo and behold it had an article about 3D problems. Both eyes have to be equal visually (20/20 30/30...) for the brain to translate 3D images. If you have one eye even a little off you can get dizziness, nausea symptions. Optometrists say it is a good indicator that you need to make an appointment. EDIT added - websight is: www.3deyehealth.org for more info. I found out my laptop isn't 3D compatable. EDIT: ssgamer, I complained I have no shoes... Lesson learned. Sorry. ptplus5

I saw Harry Potter in 3D yesterday and did notice some obvious effects, but spent a lot of the movie feeling like I wasn't sure if I was "getting it" or not. I think I would have liked it just as much in 2D (probably more, since I wouldn't have been preoccupied by whether I was seeing it or not...)
I don't have the same vision in each eye and I sometimes have trouble fusing images when I'm not wearing my glasses, so it's not really a surprise that I have trouble with 3D movies. That's probably the last time I'll pay the extra $3.50 to see one.
(Not sure if this is related, but I always had trouble with those Magic Eye images, too!)

EDIT: ssgamer, I complained I have no shoes... Lesson learned. Sorry. ptplus5 Then I probably can't watch 3D movies or play games in 3D either. I wear glasses as well, and I have, i think minus 7.75 on one eye and minus 8.25 on the other eye. I also have a double building error in one eye (the right eye, I think or is it the left?) I tend to get naseous when playing certain fps games e.g. when the camera bobs up and down a lot. I can play Bioshock, Stalker, etc. because the camera is fixed. (no bobbing) Of course, my glasses corrects this, but I have tried some of the 3D vision on TV at some of the electronics store (ok, the only store...) and still I don't seem to get it. As for movies in cinemas or movie theaters, I doubt I will get anything much out of seeing these in 3D as I do enjoy looking all around the big screen as well. Hopefully, this new 3D trend is only a trend - that'll go over in a few years...
