Have you tried running it in compatibility mode ? Right click on the game shortcut on your desk top and choose properties, then compatibility, then run this program in compatibility mode then, choose win 98 and tick all the other boxes and click ok. See if that helps.

Dracula Resurrection is one of the older games that doesn't work well on computers with hyperthreading or dual/tricore/quad/multiple processors. So if changing compatibility doesn't work, try fix #2 or #3 listed on ***this page***.

Good advice, Cathy1 and Jenny. I was even unable to play the game on my single core processor on XP and had to use compatibility mode.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Hi.
I have it on my laptop and it plays (just played a few min's to make sure). The same with the Last Sanctuary. I have Win 7 32bit. I didn't even have to make any changes to the comp settings. I did have to hunt for a program or dll or file whatever it needed to play (one of the searches which led me to gameboomers). I'm sorry I don't know what it is but I will keep looking and try to figure what it is and let you know. Just wanted you to know there is something that will let it play (should't make a difference PC or laptop). I don't know if it will work with XP tho.
The same with Ghosts (the one with Christopher Lee). I can play it on my laptop but that one I did have to make several changes.

I would have to guess the fact that your laptop has 32-bit Windows 7 is the reason you're not having any issues, ptplus5. For those of us with 64-bit Windows 7, we have to do a bit of tweaking.

Hi Draclvr - yes. When I first installed W7 as did the 64b. Had so many problems that I reinstalled it with the 32b one. It's hard enough getting older games to play that every little "bit" helps (lol).
Family - can't determine what I did (and don't want to do too much digging since the games play and I don't want to possibly change something). Sorry. Thinking about it I think it was something with security patch/issue maybe? Again I'm sorry. Hope you can get it playing.
