Wow! So glad I visited Big Fish today! I had 4 games that I had in my "To Buy" folder (I always wait so I can fill out a punch card and earn a freebie) I was ready to purchase the standard editions. I now got all 4 Collector Editions for the same price! Plus I'll fill out two punch cards!

The only other way I can think of would be to run a game through your shopping cart (purely as an experiment, not purchasing it); if you already own the game, the system will tell you that. Please note, however, that the system sees a standard version and a CE of the same game as two different things; so for example, if you have the standard version of Macabre Mysteries and you put the CE in your shopping cart, the shopping cart will see it as an entirely new game and will not inform you that you already have Macabre Mysteries.

Well, I'm depressed. I can't find one game that I already don't have either the CE or SE. I may go through withdrawals before the end of the month.

Well, I'm a bit embarrassed to say this, but this is a wonderful sale for me, the reason being that I have bought several CEs up to this point but have never bought an SE. Somewhere in the back of my mind was this idea that there might eventually be a Collector's Edition sale. So, I'm making out like a bandit.

Maybe I didn't word that very well. What I was trying to say is that: a) I have bought some CEs in the past, but b) I never bought an SE game instead of the CE; I simply didn't purchase that particular game at all. So now, I am able to pick up those games as the CE version while paying an SE price. My neuroses have paid off handsomely.

Rereading what I wrote above, I can see why you were confused, Ana. I've been having so much fun that possibly I am a bit incoherent at the moment.

I'm trying to quickly see which CEs I'd like to get before we lose power(may not come back for days if we do). Any suggestions as to the best ones.

If by best ones you mean the ones with longer bonus play, off the top of my head I would mention Sherlock Holmes: Hound of the Baskervilles and Dracula: Love Kills. I also thought Shiver: Vanishing Hitchhiker had a good bonus section and contributed well to the main story. Timeless: The Forgotten Town also has a bonus section that really adds to the main game. The Agency of Anomalies has a bonus section that is very lengthy.

Maybe some other people can add their opinions on this, too.

Thank you, Marian. Unfortunately, I have all those CEs and they are all great!!! I just noticed I still had the trials for Nightmare Realm, Paranormal Crime Investigation: Brotherhood of Crescent Snake and Redemption Cemetery: Childrens Plight. Any thoughts?

Of those three, I've only played Nightmare Realm (although I did buy the CE of Paranormal Crime Investigation today using the CE coupon code). Redemption Cemetery: Children's Plight doesn't qualify for the sale due to the fact that it was released this month.

The bonus content was pretty darn good for Nightmare Realm and added quite a bit to the game.

I know I'm just being cranky because I realize this is a great sale. But I just wanted to be able to use some of the credits I have built up and they won't let me. Grumble, grumble, grumble.....

If you go to Big Fish's site, they have a webpage on Collector's Editions that tells how to upgrade from Standard to Collector's Edition. Check ***here*** under the heading "I purchased the standard version game. Can I upgrade to the Collector's Edition..."
