I heard you had to install the steam program to get the Rockin Dead to work. I played Alter Ego and don't recall having to use steam with that one. Make sure the code you are putting in for Gray Matter is correct. What you think is a 0(zero) may actually be the letter O. The codes are case sensitive. Which means that if a capital letter is wanted you have to put a capital letter not a small one (lower case). Hope this helps a bit. You can download Steam HERE. Just look at the right hand side and you should see the download . Cathy

Well, I don't know where you want to put the folder but My Documents doesn't sound risky. So just open My Documents, select File from the upper left and New on the dropdown menu, then Folder. Name it anything you like, even Steam. Then you'll have an empty folder to download to.

To make a new folder go to windows explorer in XP or Win seven. You should be able to find it under Start/Programs.
Highlight your C:drive you will find on the left side column. You may have to click on My Computer on the left to expand the listing to see your drives. Double click on the (Local disk C) to expand that. you will see a long list of folders under (Local disk C) The selection should be highlighted in blue. Click on the word FILE. Top left hand corner of screen. You will be given an option to select NEW with arrow slide cursor right and select FOLDER.
At the bottom of the right hand column you will see a new folder. It will be empty. Right clicking on it allows you to rename it anything you want. Upon refreshing the page the folder will appear on the left column listed in alphabetical order either as NEW or the name you gave it. You should give it a name so when you create another NEW folder you won't have a conflict.
You can also create a new folder inside any folder listed. Putting it directly on the C drive makes it easier for you to find.
As traveler suggested you can place it in My Documents instead of the C drive. Either location will work. It is a matter of personal preference

Shoot, I keep forgetting that everyone doesn't have an icon link to My Docs on their desktop, oldmariner. I go there so often I put one there, so thanks for explaining how to get to the place you want to create a new folder.
I actually have a couple of games installed in My Docs because they didn't work worth a hoot in Program Files (x86) but they do there. Go figure.

I have win 7 on my laptop. I understand program files (X86) can be problematical but I don't use the laptop for games. I find it easy to put folders on the root c-drive and have no hassles that way. It is one less sub folder to deal with.
I go back to the days before windows 3.1 and find working directly through windows explorer comfortable. I guess it's like driving a standard shift and then automatic came along making things easier but allowing you to forget the fundamentals.
I don't miss having to type in commands like you did in DOS but knowing how sure makes working with DOSBOX less complicated.
