Hi. I am trying to tie the rope to the cage pillar. I've opened the door, attached the strap to the bear but cannot attach the rope to the cage. What is it that I am not doing right?
Thanks,
Terri

Hi Terri,

I thought I answered your post already. I'm sorry.

Did you attach the strap to the top bar of the cage door?

Do you want a saved game?

Hi MaG Thank you, but no. I don't understand what the problem is. It says,(tie rope to cage pillar... And when I try, I get this message..It won't do any good to tie the rope straight to the pillar)
Oops, the strap is on the bear! Guess I will just have to restart the game. Don't much think she's going to give it up without a fight.
Thank you,
Terri

That apparently wasn't the problem, I still can't tie the rope. Could there be something else I haven't done that might trigger it?
Thanks,

Be sure that you open the cage door.
Examine the snowmobile closely.
Talk to Tully again - if you can.
Be sure that you have done the "suggest" to use the snowmobile to get the bear in the cage.
Then do the rope on the cage and then on the snowmobile. luck Keep us posted.

I have "use ratchet strap on cage pillar, then the reply is "I don't think that would lead to anything useful.", "It doesn't do anything" or "It's not possible". I have got to be doing something wrong. I did the suggest and Tully has nothing to say, only mentions you be the MacGyver. I'm at a loss here. Will continue to try. Could I be missing something that I need to do to the bear?

This is from the Walkthrough.........Use the rachet strap on the bear.

Take the rope from inventory. Click rope on cage pillar (above the open cage door); then click on strapped bear and lastly click on back end of snowmobile. The text should read: tie rope to strapped polar bear - cage pillar - snowmobile.

Did I do it right the first time? I had placed the strap on the bear then tried to use the rope on the pillar. No matter I guess, neither worked for me.
I've got to take a break for now! I'll be back.

I sent you a saved game.

What I did is to be sure that the character knows that he has to bring the bear inside the cage.
That Tully knows and that he will bring the snowmobile there.

Mix the sequence of the bear-rope-snowmobile part and see if that might work.

Thank you MaG. I had to try it one more time before even considering using the save. I got it. The error was mine. The procedure was not as literal as I expected it to be. I expected to be able to see every step that I was supposed to make.
Thank you for your help. Till next time. wave

Glad you got through.

Do you want to write down what you did and we can add it to the walkthrough? That might help others do it clearly?

Hi MaG. There was nothing wrong with the WT, it was the way I interpeted it. I did not realize that you just click on the items that you mentioned. I expected to visiably see the rope connect etc. and see all the procedure. You literally click on each item/object and it does what it is suppose to without you seeing each step. Does this make any sense? I put the strap on the bear, clicked the rope on the strap, clicked the rope on the cage pillar and then on the snowmobile and away we went.
Terri
Ps. Thanks again

Hi all,

I'm confused about the "suggest" frame. I don't see it and can't Tulley to get the snowmobile. I get the dialogue and try to type in "snowmobile" but I must be missing something.

Thanks for your help!

Maverick

Check this image from Marjo's wt.

Talk to Tully and see the dialogue box.
Then type in using your keyboard - snowmobile.
See the suggest right of the typed in word.

That is where I tried to type in the word "Snowmobile" and nothing happened. I guess I need to make sure that I have covered all the steps. I am using your WT.

Thanks

Did you click on that white space first (like any text document) so that the keyboard knows that is where you are typing in?

You mentioned a couple of posts back that you were unable to see the Suggest frame. Can you see it now? If you can, but nothing is appearing when you start to type, it sounds like a tech issue.

I can see the suggest frame, I click on it and nothing happens when I start to type. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it from their website and still nothing. I guess I need to send them an email.

Thanks for your support.

I had a lot of trouble too with the rope portion. The solution for me was to hit the rope and hit the text, immediately move to the bear and hit the text there, and finally, immediately move to the snowmobile and hit the text there. Worked for me.
