i have just finished playing BM3 & it`s the best adventure game i`ve ever played. a few heart stopping moments but thoroughly enjoyed! i have just started playing lost horizon & i`m disappointed about the graphics, it`s like comic book characters & the movements are very stunted. i hope the stories good to make up for it! i shall persevere for now.

Lost Horizon was one of the best games I've played. The graphics were never an issue for me, I thought they were well done. I am sorry you are not enjoying it.

I loved Lost Horizon too. I had great fun with the puzzles, and enjoyed all the different locations the game took me to. The last section is stunning. I hope you start enjoying it better soon. smile

Wow, you really don't like the graphics in Lost Horizon? eek I thought the game had some of the most beautiful graphics I'd seen. The character models look somewhat stylized, is that what is unappealing to you?

Yes, I thought it was an excellent game as well. It's very different from the Black Mirror series, so they're hard to compare to one another.

Lost Horizon is more of an "adventurous" adventure game, and one of the best of this type that I've played. smile

Hi gardener, I think once you get involved in the story in Lost Horizon you might like it a lot better! smile But, if you've only got a short time to play once a week I think that would be very difficult to appreciate a lot of Adventure Games - are there any others that you have particularly liked besides Black Mirror 3? smile

Hi,
I really liked Lost Horizon, but I like the stories, about the past. I like the older settings, I guess that is how you would put it.
But I like Broken Sword I.

there are a few others like tunguska & the lost crown, but not quite so exciting as bm3.

Gardener, yes I could see why the character models might put you off if you prefer a more realistic look. I found them stylized, but not overly cartoony - somewhere in between.

Have you tried Still Life? I liked it even more than the BM games (even though I loved the BM games, don't get me wrong smile ). Though I liked The Lost Crown even more also, so you may very well have a different opinion. smile Still, it has a dark theme that you seem to enjoy, and it is on sale for a very good price at GOG now. Here is the link if you're interested - http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/still_life.
