I did a search to see if any discussion of this game occured and could not find any = so here - at the end of the very first ENDING my initial thought was "HUH!? What the heck was it all about?" So I having been smart enough to do what the w/t said and SAVED before each ending I played out each one and while it did explain a bit more what this game was all about - I think the writers/developers got lost somewhere in the ensuing years it took for this one to come to a finished product - it felt like I was playing "whisper" where the original intent got twisted and lost as the "story" passed from person to person - My ending impression is still "huh!?" Anyone else feel this way too? Love, Betty Lou

That was my feeling too, Betty Lou. I just laughed and shook my head in despair at the ending I received.
Did you enjoy exploring the hotel, though? I thought the graphics were beautiful.

I just finished. I did two endings. I am also shaking my head and wondering "huh"? lol. The graphics were great, but Alec's voice actor was horrrendous. It had little enflection in his voice and one can tell he was just reading his lines w/o emotion. Very strange. In all honesty, I am glad I am done

It was OK, Anna, but somehow it just didn't grab me...especially when the wait was so long. The anticipation was greater than the result! lol.

I am so glad to see others commenting here on this game. I cannot say that I did not like it, only that the endings left me wondering where the writers that started the storyline went off to while others with a different end-goal in mind took over. After the more than one year of us all waiting in eager anticipation for this one I will say that if I had known the strange turn the story was to take before purchasing it I don't believe I would have been interested anymore. And, yes the graphics were beautifully rendered and quite nice. The voice acting was very bad, no emotion for Alex and it felt like English was not his 'forte' so he was enunciating the words very carefully so as not to make a mistake in a flat monotone which left me hoping he would improve as the storyline unfolded. Oh, well, there are lots more and better games to dive into out there so here I go Thanks for the input Love, Betty Lou

I just started it today. I bought it mainly for the graphics, lol. I miss snow, having not seen any since 1989 except once while visiting Washington.
I'll let you know what I think of the rest of the game once I've finished.

I just finished it and have to say I enjoyed it. Keep in mind, I heard all the negative stuff first, so my expectations weren't sky high, but still, I enjoyed it. I was in the mood for a slower paced game, and this fit the bill.
Re the bad accents. I worked in international organizations my entire life, and so I'm used to accents, good, bad and otherwise, so it didn't bother me the least. The graphics were beautiful and I enjoyed exploring the hotel.
I did have to get a saved game from Mag as somewhere I must have missed something and couldn't get past to the second & third endings. After I got the games I was able to play all of them. Strange endings, but no worse than some books I've read, lol.
Overall I enjoyed it, and would buy another game in the same line if it was ever made.
