Am trying to brew the magic potion, get as far as Step 3 and it always blows up, I'm stirring with my Logitech Optical Mouse which I've used for years, any other way to more effectively stir the potion please?

Are you sure you're adding the right ingredient? It's awfully easy to pick up the wrong one when they practically leap onto your cursor. I blush to admit it but I kept putting in the wrong one (the bone worms on the top right, I think) until I finally noticed the name on them didn't match what Wilbur was saying. (Slap forehead)

Provided you are using the correct ingredients, a tip I picked up (also from traveler) was to always start and finish stirring in the same place.

[I chose where the "12" spot is on a clock.]

Help or savegame needed please! Am on page 22 of walkthrough in the Take care of Munkus section - I can't! Get Munkus in the Machine Room, he slips on oil, gets wacked by paddle-board, but not able to use cylinder on mail tube pipe quickly enough.
