I have been 3 days on this problem and stuck firmly.
I am starting the tram with the 4 doors puzzle, have the tram running and checked the stops. Now back off the tram and down the cavern near the station entrance door. I have changed the stickman there to the same as the sign above - nothing. Changed it to the sign on the other side, still nothing. Even tried all the stickman with the same result - nothing moving.

I did mess with the diagram of the routes in the cabinet outside the tram station proper. Would this block me from getting the west door to open?

What have I missed?

Just wondered - have you already opened the doors at the top - East, North and south?

For the west door underground:
Remember that there is a stickman on BOTH sides of that door. Be sure that you have entered the correct stickman on that side.
On the side of the door while facing EAST - you need to adjust the stickman.
On the side of the door whicing WEST - be sure that you have entered the correct code and the correct stickman.

As it appears to me I have to open the door in the underground corridor with a stickman before I can get the codes to open the tram line doors.
I have copies the diagrams appearing on the doors but as yet have no way to decode them.
If you are saying there are stickman on both sides of that hallway, that is what I have been missing. How blind can you get? I'll get right on it.

You can open the 4 doors by:
- Checking the pattern on the doors.
- Deducing the code from the pattern.
- Entering the coded on the door panel at right of each doors.

You can do any of the doors at any time. So you can do the 3 doors above anytime.
The underground door (E-W) can be approached by going down there via the underground stairs at the walkways.
So you can go to the side to underground door facing west or facing east.
The stickmen are located on each side of the door - not on the sides of the hallway.
The walkthrough has step by steps on these puzzle. You might follow it slowly and carefully if you want.

I have followed the walkthrough from opening the tram station door to the the stickman puzzle, several times, always ending up with neither underground door opening.

I guess I'll try opening the 3 doors above for now.

Other wise it's a dead end here.

If you're following the walkthrough and stopped at activating the west door - then that is only changing the stickman found there to the correct posture
If you continue the walkthrough - then it is decoding time.
Then you decode and open the 3 doors above.
Lastly you open the underground door.

You might not have reached or continued the walkthrough yet.

It seems just getting the 3 doors from the tram line does the job anyway. Never did get those stickmen to work.

I think a nice cup of tea is called for before I struggle on. My brain hurts.

Does getting the stickman to work do anything beside opening that door? Because I got the door opened with the door code working from the central tower.

The stickmen are just to activate the door before adding the door code.
