I have Win 7, NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics card, PhysX 9.11.1111

I see the title screen but when I try to load a new game, I get a black screen, system cursor, and hear the music. Have to exit via task mgr.

Any ideas?

I've got the same problem. The forum on the game developers' site says they are aware of it and are working on a patch-

Ok, I'm actually still playing SH:The Awakened, so I'll keep myself amused for awhile.

I have the same problem. I looked at the website (indiedb) and they said that yesterday the patch was sent to gamersgate but there is no sign of it on there. I posted another support ticket to them and asked for the patch. Would be nice to play the game and funny the demo works but the game not.

Ok, I've got the patched game from GG and it's running fine.

I am confused; GG emailed me on the 16th and asked me to check the GG site for the patched game next week.

I have a support ticket with them for this problem which is still listed as in process not closed.

How did you get the patched game? Did you just try downloading it and it worked this time?

Ok, so I downloaded the game again and the game now works so only a week after buying game I can play it, hurrah! Disappointing and confusing communication from gamersgate mean if you have a problem game from them best to just visit their site regularly and keep trying to download it in case it is updated (no mention on there of it being updated) and not bother to use the support ticket system as feedback and advice from them is inaccurate and slow.

I shall get on with playing this cool game now...

I spoke too soon..while in the characters old bedroom the screen went black and the sound continued. Had to PC restart as once it happens no way of getting out if it (control alt del etc don't work)
This is SUCH a glitchy game. Ok I know the drill, save frequently etc. So annoying, hope this does not happen too often or I may give up on it. Was not very cheap (£12.99) so I will be annoyed if that is the case.

Maybe you should contact Gamersgate again and let them know they need another patch. Or contact the developer and let them know your system specs.

No, they(GG) didn't contact me. I just waited a couple days, and re-dl'd it, and got version 1.01
