I need help from the Jewel Quest fans out there.What does it mean when the screen starts to glow, and make that humming noise, with the characters special ability. Am I supposed to do something? I'm not refering to the regular abilities you can use by clicking on the character( like more time, swap jewels). I am enjoying this game so far, my characters are up to level 12.

What a coincidence; I just used a punch card credit on this game an hour ago and have begun playing it. I haven't seen the glowing board yet that you are asking about. I'll let you know if I can find any information about this, and maybe I'll catch up with you so that I can see it for myself.

I now see that when you make a match of 5 or more, it activates your special ability and that this is the significance of the glowing board/humming. From what I can tell, the special ability will be active until this effect wears off. Otherwise, I don't think there's anything else to be done. If I see some other purpose to this, I will let you know.

This really is a fun game.

Thank you Marian. What I like most about this game is there are no monkeys, and by using your characters "specials", you can actually finish the harder boards. I don't like those guys who eat up the jewels on the evasion boards, but given a choice between them and monkeys, I'll take them anytime.

The newest board for me is the electricity board; I haven't reached the evasion boards yet. I agree with you about the specials; I was able to finish one board last night at the very last minute simply because I was able to use the "gold square" special.
