How interesting, BabaLa. I didn't know that was why they divvied Syberia up.

So, has anyone played the first part of Syberia? I'd like to know if Anuman butchered it as they did Dracula: Path of the Dragon. I played the demo of part 2 and it was pathetic. I suppose that was done for the iPhone, as well?

Well, their other "spin" on slicing Syberia is because it's a large file game, and that downloads are "difficult and time-consuming", but they have plenty of LFAs that are >1gb, including their big money-maker Mystery Case Files: Escape From Ravenhearst. The other addition is that the bite-size Syberia has a free trial version, something they normally don't offer with LFAs.

But basically, they wanted a multi-platform game.

For those on a budget, the jewel case version, "Syberia Collector's Edition 1 & 2" published Encore is available at Amazon for $9.95.

If you are lucky, you can even find this jewel case game at Walmart or Target selling at $8 or something.

This "Syberia Collector's Edition 1 & 2" jewel case game is the full part 1 and part 2 game, not the chopped up version.

I just answered my own question about the BFG three part version of Syberia. They've ruined the game. There are no animations outside the cutscenes unless you can call the characters moving from one place to another animation. They don't gesture, they don't do anything but stand there and look blank. Kate is now programmed to run everywhere and it sounds as if someone is hitting two blocks of wood together as her feet hit the pavement. The river doesn't even flow and that was always such a lovely thing to watch for me. I played about 15 minutes of the Part 1 demo and had to quit, I just couldn't stand it.
