sarahandus, all websites place cookies on your computer. It's the type of cookies that are of concern. I just finished reading their entire privacy policy and they have not changed. They do not use clear gifs to track your movements off their website only regular cookies to see what you do on their website. This is normal. You can always block invasive tracking cookies by going here. I go there every couple weeks to make sure they are still being blocked or I re-block them. Alawar is a safe site to download from. Ana

I've used the Opt Out Tool Ana linked to in addition to another one called Do Not Track Plus for a long time now. Do Not Track Plus even blocks things like the hundreds of trackers used by Facebook. You can get it here... Do Not Track Plus The thing I like about Do Not Track Plus is that it even tells you exactly what trackers it has blocked.

I see they use the opt-out website as their way to cut off the cookies also. It's interesting to see what is on each website. Ana

Thanks for the two links. I am using both of them now. Opt Out will not let me opt out of all the trackers though.

If Superantispyware calls it a tracking cookie, it's a tracking cookie. These cookies are in the game, every time I start to play it they are installed. None of these cleaners are 100% correct. You can see here on Supantispyware forums that they have a lot of false positives. If you are in doubt, contact Alawar and ask them. I am hesitant to think that put tracking cookies in their software. Ana
