Can you do a screenshot when you playing a game in Windows 7? I tried using the Print Screen Sys. Rq. key and it just takes a shot of my desktop.

Good question, Marie. I've had that problem, too.

Marie,

Try using the Snipping Tool. It is part of Win 7. Just type Snipping Tool in youir search box. I keep mine pinned to my Task Bar as I use it all the time.

If you are playing a game in full screen, you can't access the snipping tool without backgrounding the game. Then when you put the game back up, you no longer have the snipping tool. Unless someone else has figured out how to get it to work, I had to use a third part screenshot program to get in-game screenshots.

Try this: press the Ctrl and the Alt key on the left of the keyboard at the same time of the Print screen key.

Open Word and right click the mouse to paste it on the Word open page.

I also have Win 7.

Hope it works for you. luck

I've tried using Screen Capture in PaintShopPro and, like Marie, all I got was a lovely shot of the desktop. Just now I tried opening PSP, loading the game, hitting Print Screen and then pasting as a new layer. Worked like a charm. Odd, but good to know something works.

marie, I see that you are playing Adam's Venture 3. I'm playing #1 right now and took a print screen. It did not work. duh

I'm also playing a HOG game from BF. I took a printscreen from that and it worked. grin

Draclvr can probably explain why.

Big Fish games use prerendered graphics.
The Adam's Venture games are modern 3D games.
The difference in how the screens are rendered 'might' have something to do with it.

You may have to get a screenshot program that is designed to take screenshots of modern 3D games. Maybe something like FRAPS or D3DGear.

I used Fraps to take the screens on Adam's Venture 3.
