CC, did you scroll all the way back to the beginning of your saves in the in-game load screen? They will be in date order, and this is an old dated save.
To double check -- you placed the file into the Water's Edge sub-folder inside My Documents?

By different format you mean that the file extension is different? In what way? Double-double-check that you're placing it in the Water's Edge folder, and not the Ransom of the Seven Ships folder that you were playing very recently. It's so easily done. I'll re-send the save, just in case it became corrupted en route to you.

I just double checked and it's where it's supposed to be. The file doesn't show up at all when i go to load the game. My computer just doesn't seem to recognize it, which is weird considering the Ransom of the Seven Ships save worked just fine. I honestly have no idea why it's not working.

Hi Pam, if the second save (which MaG sent to you) is not working, similar to the save which I sent to CC for the same puzzle, then that's really strange. We've sent the same save out literally dozens of times to other members without any issues. I don't have any explanation, other than what MaG suggests just above. But you say you already successfully used a save the last time you played. I can only suggest double checking that you've placed the file in the correct game folder, and that the extension has not been changed in any way -- does it match the other file extensions? CC, that's great. So glad that you made it.

The file extension is the wording/numbering after the full-stop on the file name, in this case "HiSawSave".
The file you need to load for this puzzle is "17 balcony lock door done", which it sounds as though you have?
Try the procedure over again -- save the file attachment that was e-mailed to you directly into the Water's Edge folder in My Documents along with all your other saves for the game.
