The barrels do not have names, but they do have symbols on them. I tried to do a print screen, but it came out completely black so I will try to describe to you.
There are actually 3 rows of barrels, with four, then three, then two emptying into a trough. The top four seems to have fill levels marked on them as follows: 100, 160, 120 and 40. Each of the four have symbols on them as follows: triangle, square, circle and diamond. The first barrel on the 1st row empties into the first barrel on the 2nd row. The second barrel on the 1st row empties into both the first and second barrels on the 2nd row (with a semicircle at the junction which seems to indicate that ingredient will be split 50/50 between the first and second. The third barrel on the 1st row empties into the second barrel on the 2nd row, while the fourth barrel on the 1st row empties into the third barrel on the 2nd row. In the puzzle you can change the settings on the three barrels on the 2nd row as follows: full circle, quarter circle, half circle or three quarter circle.
There is a legend which indicates that a triangle =25, a square = 40, a circle = 30, and a diamond = 5. There is also a level to the right of the 2nd row that you can select and enter.
The instructions are "Select a block (Barrel?) and rotate it with (enter)" (This is what changes to full, quater, half and three quarter) "When you are done check your solution with the lever on the right"
The game I am playing was just released on Steam in the last few days, and I think that it is a revised version. As I noted previously, the graphics seem to be improved from the original I purchased in January 2011.

There is a mixing of explosives on Pollo's walkthrough here.See if that help. The game thats just been released on steam has had a big overhaul with better graphics and revamped/new puzzles, the first screenshot in that guide barely resembles that section now. The solution of this puzzle is as follows.. Half / Full / Half

Hmm. I just finished I and II from Adventure Shop, and I don't remember seeing that one at all! Of course, it could be my senior memory, lol.
So it's been changed a great deal? It figures. Well, I'm going to get the 3rd one here in a few days. I don't think I want to reorder one to do again, unless it's totally overhauled.

Hi, I too bought the Steam version two day's ago, and much has changed from the 2009 version as this youtube video walkthrought shows ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8jN2teTtaY), at least that of the first C/S and very start of the game that is! E.g. New starting C/S with new VO, you start just (outside) of the cave and not coming down a ladder inside. There is now no crates with explosives/dynamite under any roof. In my view if I may, this was not well thought out i.e. to put this type of new puzzle with nothing to go with/on at the very start of the game. Anyway PolloDiablo please write an update to your no doubt great walkthrough, or maybe even I think the best W/T maker on Bommer i.e. MaGtRo! Thanks for reading and happy gaming all!

Hi. I need a clue on one of the puzzles. What is a diamond switch? I'm supposed to use the arrow keys to select a "Diamond Switch". Thanks, Terri

Hi MaG,
Your very welcome indeed! I haven't gotten far at all in this newly remade game because I've been doing other things, but it really does need a W/T rewrite because even at the 2nd scene i.e. right after the two swinging blades PolloDiablo's W/T say's to go right for the 1st of ten secret chest. Theres nothing there save for pushing the enter key when told to do so on the game screen for the camera to zoom in across the way to a switch one can't reach as of yet.
Anyway I really like using W/T's, mainly yours thank you very much lol while I play games, so is there a way to email PolloDiablo to ask him if he'd like to do a W/T rewrite (and or someone else for that matter)? Oh and btw thank you big time for your rewrite of the (Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars-(The Directors Cut edition) because it too opens differently than the original! Sorry this is soooooo long maybe I should have just PM'd you?! Happy gaming!!!

MaG. Great game! I like point and click but this game controls easily from keyboard. Love the graphics! Not too crazy about the timed sequences. Hope you enjoy it. Terri

Obi, I'll see if I can get the game and if I can work on it. No promises. Just hope there are no actiony parts. , Hi MaG that would be too cool indeed if you can find the time! Oh and btw Steam still has this game for what I consider very cheep i.e. what I paid for it $4.99-USD! Anyway hope you can do it! Happy gaming.

Nope, very few exciting events. Your character pretty much does his own actions, with very little help from you, except for the timed puzzled, and the pattern match. It's nice just looking around but difficult to tell if you've been to every level and every nook and cranny. I do wish you luck but have no doubt you will breeze right through it. Terri
