hello everyone. I'm having a lot of fun with these games thus far, but I just need to know if anyone else experienced graphics problems with this game , such as ghost images flashing in an out (especially in the tunnels), and weird avatar distortion effects (mine had the doctor's head stretch a couple of feet behind him as he ran lol).

Any comments please?

EDIT: BTW, I fired off an email to Legacy games to get some feedback from them.

I haven't played it, but those sound like video card or video driver problems.

That's what I suspected at first too Jenny, but after restarting the game the glitches were gone.

But I'm having another issue with E5: The gunpowder plot. My right mouse button won't click AT ALL, when it works just fine outside the game. I even tried using my spare mouse: same problem.

Any ideas?

Does the game have any options that allow you to remap the keyboard and mouse?

No remapping function present . And I might ad, this problem only occurs in episode 5 of the Dr Who adventure games.

Is that the most recent episode? If it is, maybe they made "improvements" to the game engine that broke it.

According to Lisa79 from Legacy games, they tweaked it a little. She sent me a more recent executable (different icon), but no joy. I followed her instructions to the letter (uninstall/reinstall, copy new .exe, update Directx to newest version). We'll see what she comes up with next...

Which video card do you have?

According to ***Gamersgate***, the game needs a 100% Directx 9c compatible card with 256MB VRAM.
So the lack of sufficient discrete video memory could be a problem -- and could cause the visual artifacts you're seeing.

ATI Radeon HD 4350.

The visual artefacts occured only once or twice in episode 4, not in episode 5. In Gunpowder Plot I only have the non-functioning right mouse button to contend with.

EDIT: The game's playable, although the first 30-45 minutes of play (especially the stealth sequences) are a lefty's nightmare. But one gets used to it after a while....

Incompatible video drivers can cause more than just video artifacts. In the past, I have had a game's mouse-clickability messed up by having incompatible drivers installed. But I really don't know if that's the problem here or not.

Well, incompatible drivers or no, I've finished episode 5 smile I'm hoping for more episodes.
