Before watching the endings I thought it was worth to make an effort to get more EMS for a better ending. After seeing them I realized there are all the same after all, and the winner is .... Joker in all of them, in particular in my case since I chose the middle way. Misslilo mentioned a dream, certainly the last part from this red almost hellish scene onward looks more like a dream, a nightmare actually. The comments between Shepard and Anderson - "This doesn't look like any part of the Citadel I've been to."and "One of the walls just moved, the place is shifting, changing." Shep had already have disturbing dreams and this could be a hallucination.

I wouldn't mind if that ending did turn out to be a hallucination, mcc.
But if they do work on a better ending, what will they do, charge the consumber for an ending DLC like bethesda did with fallout 3? This game is already overpriced for what we got, not to mention day one DLC and mandatory origin accounts meaning the game has no resale value. Really, I hate the direction this company is going in, they seem to have no corporate ethics and will do anything to bleed the consumer dry.

You really can't resell a game that has been activated on Steam, though. That's why I never played Guild Wars since it needed an Steam account and the info on the back of the box clearly said: Steam account not transferable.
Origin is, in this respect and aspect, just like Steam is. As for the dlc at day 1, yes, there was. And why? Because Bioware wanted to make it an extra service for their customers and fans to get access to the From Ashes DLC at launch.
As for what Bioware will do, much specualation goes on at the Bioware ME3 boards and forums. However, we do know that Bioware won't release any info tomorrow on April 1st (understandably perhaps...?)
However, I think they'll say something at PAX East this Friday (Good Friday that is) April 6th when they're inviting people to a ME3 event. In the time try to reflect over what the name Shephard really means - it does sound close to a caretaker of the flock, a shepherd, does it not?
Adventure gaming is fun

Smooshmonster, I have tried to import a game but it didn't work, I followed the WT but I cannot see any place to put the character file.
Maybe it is better to use the editor to modify mine, but I don't really know what is missing there. It was good but apparently not good enough. I had done even all the DLCs. I would like to change the romance choice also.
I appreciate advice from you or other Gameboomer.

It's a good thing that I didn't buy the game (was really close to buying it though). But I was browsing the BioWare forums earlier and stumbled on to the ME3 Suggested Changes Feedback thread. It looks like BioWare will be making an Extended Edition/Cut that's going to be free to download this summer. However...... The ending wont get changed and the Extended Edition it's only going to contain some clarification. Out of curiosity... What did everyone like or dislike about the game?

Interestingly, I listened to an interview on NPR about the hue and cry of players with the ending in this game Sunday afternoon.

oh well, if the end will not change whats the good about it? The endings are the main reason of disappointing and, since this is a trilogy based in the story, endings are crucial. It is also said that they plan a ME 4, a prequel, again if the endings are bad, whats the point of playing a prequel? As a shooter is good but nothing out of this world. Squad members and weapons are sort of repetitive, one can play almost always just with two members and one gun. Maybe is just that there were high expectations. If I hadn't played the first two I probably would not be as disappointed by the ending.

oh well, if the end will not change whats the good about it? Beats me, Some of the reasons that I hated about the ending are covered in While some of the other things I disliked about the game is covered in this Maybe is just that there were high expectations. If I hadn't played the first two I probably would not be as disappointed by the ending. I think it is something that's always expected when it comes to a trilogy, not to mention that the developers also added to the expectations. And just like you I played the first two games as well, with the hope that the 3rd part would be the best of them all.

I was ready to patch my game in anticipation of the Extension, I will save my effort because if they will stick with these endings, that are really one, there is no point.

I was ready to patch my game in anticipation of the Extension, I will save my effort because if they will stick with these endings, that are really one, there is no point. The "endings" are confirmed. From the mini FAQ Q: What can fans expect from the Extended Cut DLC? A: For fans who want more closure in Mass Effect 3, the DLC will offer extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to the conclusion of Commander Shepard’s journey. Q: Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future? A: No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned. Q: What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC? A: BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3. Q: When will the Extended Cut DLC be available? A: Currently the Extended Cut DLC is planned for this summer, no specific date has been announced at this point. Q: Why are you releasing the Extended Cut DLC? A: Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main game, we are aware that there are some fans who would like more closure to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard’s story. Link: Official EA Announcement

I didn't want a happy ending, just an ending that makes sense and doesn't include space-magic.

Smiley has quoted BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned. I had thought the endings were a Shepard hallucination, but if they are not I really ask myself if the people of BioWare are the ones hallucinating, because I cannot see the "artistic vision" they mention . Particularly since I read HERE that " The series will live on, though. BioWare has indicated that Mass Effect 4 could be a prequel". Maybe it is just my lack of appreciation of art.
