I just bought this pc game as a download this week and was wondering if anyone else is playing and if so what do you think of it.

hi marie, there hasn't been much discussion on the game here so hopefully someone that has played will be along. Please share your opinion when you start playing also, we'd love to hear it.

So far I like the storyline, its not just another shooter game so far. The blur effect is something I having experienced before and it adds to the overall dark mood of the game.

I'm playing the game in normal mode and it's pretty challenging for me to get all the baddies.

I also get lost in the forrest a lot, hard to tell if your going the right way in the near darkness of the forrest.

I have seen ads and commercials for this as well as have seen it my local radio and tv shop (they also sell games in Denmark). It looks very intriguing, but I would like to know if it's hard to play with only your flashlight as a weapon as the ads so beautifully put it...

You do have guns from time to time and flashbangs & flares as well. I needed them a lot.

Gameplay wise: it takes a bit of getting used to.
As to the story: liked it a lot. Well thought out.

Marie, so glad you like the story. I get lost in every game unless there is some sort of mini map with a pointer. lol

Karsten have you looked at youtube? Or would you rather not ruin the experience by seeing what happens?

Jarkeld, thanks. puppy

No, I haven't looked at youtube, but as a kid I was afraid to go out in the Dark of the Night in a forest. I tend too get lost too when I don't have map...as well.

Hi Marie and all. I don't have the game yet, but I found the strategy guide somewhere recently on sale so I grabbed it because I'm eager to play the game. I found a used Xbox at this great indoor flea market I always go to for a great price (and it works great too--they tested it for me) so just have to buy that and pick up the game. Hope to do that this week sometime and then maybe pop back in here to talk about it w/ you guys.

Hope you're having fun with it Marie and I'm looking forward to joining you in the forest! (and hoping that there is an Easy setting just for me!) lol

Hi Tracy & All, The game is going very smoothly at this point and some freaky super natural flying ofjects( I won't spoil the game by saying more. And by the way you will get a revolver, shotgun and a rifle along the way, also a larger flashlight at some point that you can trade your reg one in for.

You can play the game in easy, normal and NIGHTMARE mode, but I probably wont do the last one because the game is scarey enough as is.

You also get vehicles that you can drive. I've driven 2 drucks and a car, a little tricky with PC controls but a real blast when you can bag some baddies; saves on ammo lol
