Hello,

My name is Elizabeth, I am Lillian's (aka lilkim55) daughter. It is with sadness that I announce that my mother Lillian passed away on May 2, at 82. Although we grieve, we are also relieved that she is no longer suffering. She had been dealing with stage 4 melanoma and also emphysema.

Mom often spoke with fondness of her friends on GameBoomers, and this community was a wonderful social center for her. After being diagnosed with emphysema in 2002, she became homebound which was very challenging for someone who had always been so independant. I am glad that here at GameBoomers she had such a thriving and supportive community of friends even without leaving the house. She truly enjoyed gaming, and I believe Jewel Quest was what she had most recently been playing, right up until the medical symptoms required further bedrest.

Dad and I miss her greatly, but we know she is reunited with my brother Joe, her own parents, and other departed loved ones including our cats Fred and Coco. She and my dad (also named Joe) would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.

Thank you all for being there for Mom, my memories of her are rich with stories from the gaming community.
