Latest Update from Big Finish: The creators of Tex Murphy are hoping to bring back their popular and award-winning detective/sci-fi/adventure game series. A Kickstarter campaign entitled “Tex Murphy – Project Fedora,” was launched on May 15 and has already generated over 45% of its $450,000 fundraising goal in the first four days. Big Finish Games, the developer, promises an epic reunion for fans who have waited more than a decade for the return of Tex Murphy. The original creative team, including creator/designer Chris Jones, designer/writer Aaron Conners, and director Adrian Carr, has reunited for the project. The Pandora Directive and Under a Killing Moon, two games in the Tex Murphy series, were recently ranked #9 and #25 on a list of the Greatest Adventure Games of All Time, according to www.AdventureGamers.com. The series was known for pioneering the Full Motion Video adventure game genre and featured actors such as James Earl Jones, Kevin McCarthy and Michael York in prominent roles. According to Big Finish CEO, Chris Jones, the script has been completed and the company will start development immediately if the Kickstarter goal is met by the ending date of June 15.

They still have 25 days to go, I don't think they'll have any problems getting funded. Not as long as the Pinkerton Road Cavalry helps out

You must have dragged a few people with you, Temporaryscars; the total has gone up by 4K in just the last few hours! It's misery typing with my fingers crossed. Gil.

Quite frankly, I see no relevance to Tex Murphy at all in this latest video except for a fleeting mention of Aaron Conners at the end. Certainly, to me, this is not the type of update that would be attracting Kickstarter donors. More like this would have been more appropriate for the Big Finish Forums.

GreyFuss,
The video was made by a rabid fan of Tex Murphy games and I think it's intended to intrigue people who don't know anything about Tex and/or give hints as to what the game will be about.
My guess.

You are correct Traveler, these videos are fan made but I see no way somebody who wasn't familiar with the Tex games would get any idea of Tex Murphy if it doesn't even mention his name. Thats why I think it more appropriate for the Forums at the Unofficial Tex Murphy and Big Finish Games. I would rather see updates relative to Tex Murphy or updates about the future games from Chris and Aaron themselves. Or maybe outtakes from the originals or possible updates featuring the original actors who will be participating in this next game...Just my opinion as I do want to see this go far past what the Kickstarter goal is.

To heck with it. I'm too excited to wait. Goodbye $100. Yay! GreyFuss,

Gil. Remember the Cosmic Connection in one of the Tex games? That was part of this video, also.

When there is an official press announcement from Chris and Aaron that want published you can be sure I will be posting it. THese kickstarter emails that are sent to all those who contributed will not be officially posted unless it is sent to GB as a press release. Ana

I think I see why she's typing ???. Official press releases have nothing to do with the people that are going by the Kickstarter site and looking at these videos to see if they want to contribute. GreyFuss thinks they won't learn much. I disagree since the first video contains a lot of info about Tex and the games and they'll probably watch it. The rest are just fun so far. Gil. Oops! Slow.

Gotcha Greyfuss! I thought you were stating you don't want to see them here and thought they would be better served on their forums. Gil, the grue is a "he". Ana
