More letter equations - some easy-peasy, some a bit trickier. As ever, all credit given for valiant tries, even if they don't match my answer -A. 3 = C. on the U. F. -B. 4 = C. in the H. H. -C. 5 = S. in a P. -D. 6 = D. of the C. -E. 8 = B. in a B. -F. 9 = L. of a C. -G. 10 = P. of E. -H. 19 = G. S. for the V. P. -I. 32 = T. at which W. F. (D. F.) -J. 77 = S. S. -K. 720 = H. in J. -L. 1919 = T. of V.

Sondi, Denis, Haroula, Jema - all good! CC - a good answer that I can't argue with, but wasn't my intention. You're very close, and remember I'm a Brit manxman - I think there are a number of definitions of how many bushels are in a barrel, depending on whether it's a USA or UK barrel etc etc. Think a lot more modern...

CC - a good answer that I can't argue with, but wasn't my intention. You're very close, and remember I'm a Brit Ah... if I'm close then it has to be A. 3 = crosses on the Union Flag (for England, Ireland, and Scotland) Should have thought of that

CC - I think the Welsh would contest the Irish for the third cross, but great recovery Apparently it's called the Union Flag when flown on land, but the Union Jack when flown at sea Good answer, Gail!
