I've been playing this game and for the most part I am enjoying it. However, I'm really, really stuck in the temple in Hatmandor in chapter 1. I'm supposed to pull a lever which opens 2 gates. I'm supposed to run through both of them but the second gate always closes when I'm about 3/4 through the room. There are no speed potions or speed attributes in the game. There is just "walk" or "run" by toggling the TAB key. I've looked for a cheat and have found one. However, that hasn't worked. My character doesn't pick up speed for the cheat either. Has anyone played this game and does anyone remember how to get through this part?

Thanks, Ana, but I have been using that walkthrough. The quest is called Maliel's Tear and the walkthrough is incorrect about the lever that opens the next gate. Thanks for trying though.

Thanks for the link, Marian. I found my problem: I purchased the game from Steam so I didn't get a manual for the keyboard controls. Most of what I was doing was guessing and trial by error. I found an online manual which showed me how to sprint and I'm now through that second gate.

Thank you to all who tried to help. It is a good game once you get the hang of it. I think on the next playthrough I will have a much easier time.
