This is the first game in the series. So far, I've finished chapter 5 where Bates is giving a confession at the church, saying
that Samuel is the killer of all these people and that he saw his face with his own eyes, as well as the blood stained hands.
But all this time I thought Sam (the MC) was the Answer Man, the Hero, the saviour of the game since he unraveled the mystery of the Gordon family curse - how can this be,
unless someone framed him
(will I find out in chapter 6 (game's final chapter)?
EDIT - regarding if some non AG-ers think that this is a "creepy" game, my take on this part is the only chills I get from is just b/c in the game environment its a dark, stormy, rainy, chilly/cold night and the lighted windows of Black Mirror castle make me feel like hurrying inside the castle (home to the MC) where its cozy and warm (after midnight by the time Sam gets William's sacred key from the casket) but that's just me, that is, this game does not scare me in any way whatsoever - how about you guys?
Since this game is set somewhere in England, what time of the year do you guys this it is in this game/what month?
Thanks in advance.
Note: now Bracken Tor, the only "creepy-ness" I feel about this game is that its probably late September (judging from the screenshots that I've already seen) for the entire duration of that game, for Barrow Hill, most likely it is mid/late August or early September (having recalled from my gameplay back in '05 - 07) in that game (but again, that's just me) - how do you guys feel?
All in all, I believe these kind of games give us a little excitement/thrills in our civilized society where we have local police to protect us/street lights, etc, but I guess if we were living back in say the Middle Ages before electric street lights, etc, then these kind of games might be scary (but that's just b/c the streets outside our houses would be pitch dark, but this is once more, just me) - your opinions?
My take in the conclusion of this game, is that although Sam has
sealed the gate between the world of evil forces, (and I think that that greenish swirly stuff below the pedestal where the altar is represents the evil demons from the world of evil forces) he regrets his past which has finally caught up to him (and is threatening to overtake him and finish him off) Sam commits suicide by going up on the roof of Black Mirror Castle's tower (where William wrote his farewell letter in the game's intro sequence) and jumps off
- what is your take on the conclusion of this game, guys?
(Yes, I've finished playing The Black Mirror just now).
EDIT - I was sure that I had backed up all my gameplay screenshots for this game the last time I wiped the M1530's HDD, however, I searched (did a thoro search) of both of my EHD's plus my recent Blu-ray/DVD data backups - and discovered that I was only kidding myself, I hadn't backed up all these screenies except the intro sequence, chapter 1 and part of chapter 2

. Now I'll have to play this game all over again. But having finished this game, I don't want to have to go thru it all over again for a while b/c I'm more excited about playing Barrow Hill now that it's early/mid Sept (and this time make sure I back up all my gameplay screenies) - did this kind of thing ever happen to you guys?
