Was playing Barrow Hill the other day on XP PC. Now in woods, saw (and touched) the sentry stone. I tried (in-game) going back to the picnic area are then going forward (as per MaG's w/t) but the sentry stone remained in place no matter how far back (around picnic area) I went.

How do I get rid of the sentry stone so I can continue my journey thru the game?

Go somewhere else and not come back until later in the game. The sentry stone will appear randomly anywhere - so just continue checking the different areas.

Ok, is this even possible? How far can I go in these other areas? How many times can the sentry stone appear?

Is it always in the same place/same time per each game?

To date I did go to another area in the game world, I went to where the scarecrow was, then into the owl barn, did everything MaG's w/t said to do there, got back out to both the scarecrow again then to the phone booth and after that tried calling Emma Harry on the cell phone - but the cell phone keeps giving me a busy signal.

Next I tried going back to the area where the scentry stone appeared, hoping it would not be there anymore, but it was still there.

Now what do I do - I cannot reach Emma Harry nor can I get the sentry stone to disappear from the first area - help?

Did you call and speak to Emma Harry earlier in the game, or have you yet to have her pick up?

Just asking this because the line will always be busy if the player hasn't listened to all radio station segments on the three different radios, and collated the full telephone number to call from that info.

Otherwise, can you get any more dialogue with the guy at the service station? Maybe double check back through the walkthrough to see if there's anything else that can be done to spend some time and get the sentry stone to move.

I listened to the guy in the office a second time, but when I went into motel room # 2, I didn't bother to listen to the radio on the desk (think this might be Pete's room?) b/c I thought it would take too long since the w/t says I cannot pull out of close-up nor save while listening to radio (was pressured for time) during this stage of play.

I'm now in motel room # 3 (Conrad's room?) looked at several drawings on walls at this point.

That could be the problem, then. You need to have listened to all three Emma Harry radio segments in full. The radios are in the station kitchen, the motel room and at the wrecked jeep. That gives you the full number to call, and you should hopefully then be able to contact Emma.

Thanks, Rushes - I did this (at 8/9 P.M. tonight) and after wards was able to get in a call to Emma. Saw photos of a woman's face on cell phone - is this Emma?

Then get to the trailer, and ruined church, did everything, then got back to Conrad's room.
