Please help me. I have been stuck for hours at the screen where you reinact the death of Polly (I think)with Sherlock as Jack and Dr Watson as polly.I picked the right answers as far as standing, hands, all green arrows lit up and Sherlock said yes, That is probably how it was done. I can't seeem to go anywhere after that. iT wont let me go anywhere else on the map and keeps going back to the same place. In the walkthrough the next step it says is September 2 at 1888 Baker St. 8:02am. I have tried to use the map and go there but it will not let me leve the street of the murder. please help me

Hi msblueyes,

The reenactment is a two-part puzzle. You've completed the first part (standing up). Now you need to do the second part, starting with Watson lying down instead of standing. Once you've worked out the correct sequence for that, Holmes will confirm and you should be on your way. luck

I still cannot get it can you tell me step by step what I have to do after he is sucessfully strangled? Please. Could you go through the second step with me?

-----------------

could someone go through the 2nd part of the game starting at after Sherlock (as Jack)strangles Dr WAtson (as Polly) successfully he then starts out from a lying postion but could you tell me step by step how that part goes to finish this part so I can get off that street and finish the game. Have been stuck on it for 2 days?

Here are the correct solutions for both lying down and standing up:

From left to right, select: lying down, knife, left hand, neck, and facing the victim. Click single arrow. Press red square.

From left to right select: standing up, choking, right hand, neck-abdomen and facing victim. Click single arrow. Press red square.

Have you checked all three pages of the deduction board?

Did you:

Click on blood on the wall beside the body.

Click on blood under the door and above the head of Annie.

This is a common problem area because of some gamers' screen resolution. If you are unable to see/click on either of the blood spots, you might need to adjust your resolution to bring the full gameplay screen into view.

MaG's walkthrough has a full step-by-step of other things that need to be done to move forward -- but check the above points first and then let us know if you still have trouble.

I can't click blood at bottom of door and the only blood I can see by her head is on the right side of her head

That's just the one patch of blood -- it's under the door that's above Annie's head.

The other is on the wall/fence beside the body.

You should be able to adjust your resolution temporarily from Options at main menu, I think. Then reload the game and see if the screen has changed sufficiently for you to be able to click on the blood spots.

Hopefully that's all that is holding you back in this scene. luck Keep us posted.

it was the screen resolution, thank you. I am now trying to fix gas leak and cannot get past it even though I am following the walkthrough step by step. It is not working. could you tell me the step by step process for the valves, and is the pilot suppose to be lit ?

If the walkthrough step-by-step isn't working, you may have twiddled a valve or two the wrong way at the very start -- are you close enough to a previous saved game that you can go back and replay this part?

The pilot flame won't be lit until you have enough power to that section and the pipes that you put in have been welded at every joint (double check this).

I have made to the point where they are using the pencil, compass. eraser, and the french curve looking thing to connect the murder locations on the map above the couch and the only thing that works is the pencil and eraser. when I click on the other 2 things they do not pick up. can you tell me what to do to get them to work?
