Nancy has listened to the chief's conversation about the missing locker key..I turned the case over to Ned to search for the key, but Pancake City and Mabel Rose's, while shown on the map at the Scoop, haven't shown up on the game's map. How to trigger them? Wandering around, not sure where to go, or what to do.

If you overheard that the detective lost the keys at Pancake City - it should be active now as soon as you get on the drivable map.

The others will be active only if they are mentioned by a character.

Ned has picked up the note from Deirdre, but won't put it in the drop box at the station. Says someithing like I can't do that now...Did talke to Brenda. Don't know where to go! Haven't found the excelerant device from Drew, yet, either.

Get the accelerant first and then see if that will move the game.

Be sure that you have read the booking report. That talks about the accelerant.

I read the booking report, and analyzed the sample from the burned hall. Ned wants to dust the note for prints, but there hasn't been any dialog between him and Nancy about the note, or the dust kit, etc. Not sure what I've missed, or how to trigger the conversation...Ned still won't put the note in the box.

If Ned says that he wants to dust it for prints - go ahead and do so. Did Ned get a fingerprint kit already?

No, he doesn't have the kit, and I can't figure out how to trigger that conversation. The WT says to put Deirdre's note in the drop box, but he won't do it, and there is no mention from either Ned or Nancy about the fingerprint kit. Don't know what I've missed...

What is in your To Do list?

Needing to dust the note for prints-needing to get finger print kit, or find his own. He's pretty much done most of what's on there. From the WT, it says that he's to drop off the note that Deirdre gave him in the box, right after he got it. Don't know what the problem is. I've talked to everyone about alibis, etc. Too, the accelerant device that Carson mentioned to Nancy still hasn't shown up at the Drew house. Feels like I'm going in circles!

Try and go to Nancy's home, see if it is opened.
Did the other characters get a kit already?

I've been to Nancy's room as George, and Ned. No kit. None of the others have a kit, either. Ned's the one who got the note from Deirdre...the others haven't mentioned it.Getting frustrated! Don't know why he won't pass the note along to Nancy, or even mention it.

Then Nancy has NOT asked anyone to get the kit yet.

Can you get Nancy to place her house key in the out box at the station?

The accelerant report will be later in the game.

When I click on the note in Ned's inventory,he mentions dusting for prints, and going to Nancy's to do it, but he still doesn't mention it to Nancy. I even went back to a previous Save and redid the scene with Deirdre...getting the note, etc. Same result. (Side note-I have a cousin named Deirdre Shannon! There's also a wonderful Irish singer by the same name!)I'll keep trying, but until Nancy knows about the note that Deirdre found, I'm not sure how to trigger the key dialog.

I neglected to investigate the entire evidence locker, and didn't have the key. Got the key, passed it to Ned, and he got the prints...

Glad you found out what was holding you back.

Having trouble in Brenda's van regulating the audios...Even with the WT. Using the nos. in the WT, some of the numbers turn green, but some are still red. Not sure what to do..

The numbers listed in the wt is not the exact numbers. You have to play with the setting close to those numbers and see if you can set it.

Did I miss a trigger?

You need to be close to finishing the evidence board first -- then get Nancy to call Ned and ask him to take Deirdre out. If you're on Junior level check your task list and see what still needs to be done.

A couple other things you could try, from checking older threads and members having a similar issue:

Did Nancy ask the other characters to check alibis?

Have you checked the alarm at the burned Town Hall?

Seems I've missed a bunch!!

Other than getting the sample, what am I supposed to check at the Town Hall for? I looked at the plaque, but haven't found anything else to do!!

Take a peek at MaG's walkthrough HERE if you need to -- specifically the section titled "Get fingerprints from and check the alibis of the suspects". It states all that needs to be done.

Check your task list also, it's a great help for working out what to do next.

As for the town hall, you need to:

...check the fire alarm left of the entrance. See that the alarm has been turned off.

Then after doing that *and* taking the sample from the thermostat:

Go to police station and leave the alarm key and sample at the package drop.

Call Nancy and tell her about the alarm.
