Hope someone can help as I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I have just started the game and am doing the tutorial. I have looked at the showcase, picked up magnifying glass, looked at windows and looked at music scores on floor but then the magnifying glass disappears and I cannot look at anything else. Am I missing something?

What is the tutorial box onscreen asking you to do? Be sure to follow the navigation instructions exactly, otherwise the game won't allow you to move on to the next part. Switch from first to third person, perhaps (or vice versa) as you move around, that sometimes can unstick things. Keep us posted.

When I have examined the music scores the magnifying glass disappears. The tutorial tells me to use LShft to run and I have changed from 1st to 3rd person but cannot get the tutorial to move on.

At the start of the game the tutorial shows me the WASD to move, then to click on the showcase and the magnifying turns green, then to go to the left window and click the icons there, then to pick up the glass from the fireplace, then to examine the music scores on the floor - that's when the magnifyer disappears after I have checked the sooty prints. The tutorial is telling me to use LShft to move faster.

It's the tutorial box that's holding you up. The tutorial's trying to make sure that the player knows all the ways to move within the game -- and the instructions need to be followed for long enough that the tutorial realises that the player knows what they're doing. You're not alone, a LOT of folks have had problems in this area.

Run around the room for a while in first person, then in over-the-shoulder, then in full third person, and see if that helps any. Just keep at it until the tutorial moves on to the next point.

I have run around the room in 1st and 3rd person and at last the tutorial disappeared and I can now move on. Thanks a lot

I am following MaG's WT and it says move 43 down & left under 82 but is this an error as I have 36 at end. Am I going wrong as I've tried this a few times.
